Dear Jan,

It is cooler here today than it has been, still no rain. I woke up thinking about you. Then I made coffee and wrote a poem. Then I looked down at my feet, amazed at how worn my shoes have become.
Where you have gone to do folks even wear shoes? Yeah I know, I can hear you laughing at me.

Someone attempted to hack my computer a couple of days ago. Welcome to the wondrous world of the 21st Century - another utopia replete with worms, rust, decay. Wars are already being fought with zeros & ones, we've invented a new scene here - guns are becoming passe, people can now die at the hands of computer code & hypertext.

Took Bean for his walk early this morning. There are seed pods clinging to my jeans from the walk in the forest. It may be an act of the grace of God to get born a traveler but it is an act of intelligence to continue in that fashion. Welcome to the world of smart plants.

Bean is sleeping now.
He misses you with a broke heart too.
