Near by- the school of geisha was in session
The little bird like dolls went parading in quiet with parasols/ li smugly
Suggests that a young virgin might heal him
Of his desire for sweetness
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

Trees we sat under
butterflies we watched
float away
i imagined you
while you envisioned me
it was a long hard road
that led to the other side
while we made our get away
i studied the post impressionists
whilst you honed those
sacred verses of yours
never once did you
bad mouth those jealous
eunuchs or leave the emporer
without a bit of implore
why you were banished Li
is mere speculation, but
I chalk it up to jealousy
it raises it's ugly head at
certain times, yet you rose
above it's pettiness
with a smile you sat down by
the river with wine glass
in hand writing of the mountains
& that rabbit of a buttery moon
we all learned lots from this
even though the wonder
pervades the darkest nights
thank you for setting our
minds free

The laughter
Li po
Experiences
While looking at the stars
And the enlightenment
Makes me smile

....it's funny how few will understand, or even realize that we all come from you. We might be riding a bike or climbing a mountain and shazammmm, there you are waiting to take us to the
everlasting. It's a long line you spring from old Li. The beginnings shrouded in the mists of time.

.....a smile comes down the mountain.....a hush rolls through the town.....all that man/woman has made makes a pudding....a couple walks in the door as Li is walking out, they do a dance and smile, a tip of the hat he's on his way.....night warmer than it's been he ponders all the faces that walk by, rushing here and there, making monumental decisions about what to do next....he smiles and heads home to the hum of the everlasting and much needed rest.

Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

Li Po eats the bird?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
old Li liked the bird
yes he actually loved
the bird
he never wanted to hurt
the bird
but it was the way of the holiday
to eat the bird
it was a cool mountain morning
old Li wine bottle in hand
set out in search of
the bird
no violent cat was he so he
brought some 24 gauge wire
along to snare the bird
he found a nice spot with lotsa
bird tracks where he tied his
snare to a tree
he laid invisible sippin his wine
and writing a line or 3
the morning drew on and on
he heard no gobble-gobble song
the wine in the bottle eventually
sank into the bottom of his flask
when he noticed a nest with
fresh eggs near the place he
had stayed all the day
he snatched three and made his way
back to his hut just as happy as a
poet could ever be.
