sturst burst

Post by judih » January 26th, 2005, 2:24 pm

it's about wiping the nectar from my face
when energy bursts and aim is poor
the honey licked and craving more

stars burst sturst wipeout
heaving purple streams
the red wine gleams

mid-pine, halfway up to north
while bonfires fan our salvia
and dreams wear regalia

quiet echo reels through trees
footsteps signify presence
i listen to the night

there are no promises
no mention of now or when
...i hope the sound is you

it has been many months
the forest is still

and then,
the silence is broken
by another starburst

star seeds find their way to earth
floating
turning
resting
on the branches
and
on
the ground

there is another sound

the wings of a dove
a snow white dove

she lands
and
she feeds on the starseeds

she grows
and
she glows

generating
emitting
a spiraling
energy of promise

after a long night
composed of many nights
the whitebird sings

because she knows in her heart
that there is an awakening

hope
and
good fortune awaits
all

the nectar on my face
tastes of salt and chestnuts
while halfway up north
a star gleams in solitude
through silent pines

my cheeks are still wet
with sound
and honey pours
from my lonely pockets

i listen
i find seeds twinkle in the sky
warm like freshly baked bread
bright like the crumbs of stars
and hear hope in every fir cone
that your echoing step
doesn't crush
