through grey rain i see growth;
through crying windows the sky cries to herald the dawn.

puddles gather around the blocked road drains
their backs-of-mirrors colours mix with rainbows of spilled oils;
bent flowers in an arc of tarmac reaching for the sky

spring rain heavy - mother's milk to the suckling lip of a new moist baby
