I think the only sensible senseless zen conclusion is that everything is poetry, even hatred of poetry. If you hate poetry, well, that is suitably poetic. Poetry may not yet be finished...

hai! and i may not be finished writing poetry either my good man...

poetry in the shine of spit
a word or two about the gloom of doom
black poetry, white poetry, read poetry
it takes a sentence to make a poet poetry
a long time coming poetry
meditation poetry
dish washing poetry
is there no end to poetry?
no...not really, only an end to this
a so called poem...

btw, we gave him (our poetry hating son) a signed copy of the Studio 8 poetry anthology for a christmas gift...it was only fair. he professed to LOVE it...

Poetry is a tear in my eye
or a smile on my face

It is the fire down below
or the tender indiffernce of the stars above

If I have ever wrote a poem
it is proof that accidents do happen

poetry is slow
or as fast as the light striking your retina

GO is all I know
I GO
Yugo
Weego
everybody must GO

poetry is pissing

pissing in a bombed out
church in the balkans
amidst runination
ruminating

getting up early
to listen to jazz
in the dark
on public radio

poetry is not
could not
would not
possibly be
anything
other than
was it is

p o e t r y

"I demand the right to piss in different colors"
Gaga for coco puffs
Dada for despair
poetry is poetry
and
GO is a jam
mostly gray
and white
black and blue
with some crunchy bits
and a beat you can dance too

i may not see too well
but i see the truth when it warms my heart
it shaves off words from the poet tree
curls them up, dresses my earth
feet iambic or free
walking amidst the kernels of wisdom
the pearls of blue oyster cult
my song is a mandolin
the message my heart strings
