I think there is such a thing as pre traumatic stress syndrome --st
yeah, we've all got Pre-TSD from the 9-11 attacks being (re)shown on t.v. and all the hype 'bout terrorism. that's what fear is. political psychological tool for control.

how to overcome america's pervasive traumatization, to realize the manipulation of politicians. the media machine writes its instructions directly on yer brain. we must unwrite it. un-Right America.
I don't think 'Therefore, I am.' Therefore, I am.

Exactly so e-dog
Scientific knowledge about how traumatc experiences translates in to psychological injury can be used to found a science of human rights that is in independent of specific cultural bias.

Unfortunately the same scientific knowledge that can define a science of human rights can be used to perfect a science of tyranny

"What We Haven't Learned About War We Have Repeated: Warriors As Victims"
http://www.albany.edu/scj/jcjpc/vol2is5/achilles.html

Veterans Day
Now there is a holiday that should be stricken from the calendar

Those who remember the past are doomed to repeat it
Fuck the September 11
Fuck December 7
Fuck fifty four forty or fight
Fuck remember the Maine
Fuck remember the Alamo
Fuck remember Masada

I am going to think of something good on September 11
I will write a story for Jamelah
I am going to blow up my TV on september 11
smash my radio, burn my news paper and throw my computer out the window

We never remember the days when peace broke out
Only war days

Achilles In Vietnam
Combat Trauma and the Undoing of Character

I respectfully dedicate this book to the men of the Veterans Improvement Program (VIP) who have generously taught me and entrusted me with their experiences of war. In the larger sense they are authors of this book.

IN MEMORY and Thomas John Protrack

IN MEMORY David Lee Hinz

IN MEMORY Capt. William “Blue” Casey, U.S. Cav.

IN MEMORY Fred J. O’Connor , Jr.

IN MEMORY 173rd Airborne (The Herd)

IN MEMORY Paul

IN MEMORY Jimmy English

IN MEMORY First Battalion, Ninth Marines

IN MEMORY Preacher

IN MEMORY A young guy named Doughy

IN MEMORY Timmy those in The Herd on Hill 875

IN MEMORY A black trooper named John Kennedy

IN MEMORY The nurses and Donut Dollies who served and died in Vietnam

IN MEMORY John Durham

They say the prince of peace will come in the clouds and twe sit and listen to Willie Nelson sing of an Uncloudy Day
And Zionist Christians look forward to a mushroom cloud
And I sit by the side of a broken road and dream
Of an African Christ and The good Bodhi road to peace.
What ever happened to the road map to peace?]

To the Jew first, good or bad.
There will be no peace anywhere
Until there is peace in that blood soaked so called Holy Land.

So interconnected, to everything else, or so it seems.
Maybe I believe in the butterfly effect.
The ripples of destruction emanate from there. And the Church pulpits of Megachurches in the US.
but maybe be I am becoming too ethno-centric in my old age.
The last election just laid the foundation of the next 500
years of Dark Ages
--Frank Zappa From 1981 after Reagan's election.
Maybe Frank was off by about twenty years.

Its da crusades again.
The blood and the sword
spreading the word by force
domini domini you are all americans how.
True believers scare the bejeezus out of me.

....'most people think,
Great God will come from the skies,
take away everything,
and make everybody feel high.
but if you know what life is worth,
you will look for yours on earth.
and now you see the light,
you stand up for your rights'....

--bob marley and the wailers.

The road to peace is broken
We apologize for the inconvenience
Proceed at your own risk

Detour straight ahead

The walk around through downtown and Wall St
Up on capital hill
The word was power

Power to the people
Who long for powerlessness
A good Sheppard to herd them

Priest presidents and his shamans
Make the sign of the holy dollar
And bless us with cheap gasoline

I despair
I love my enemy
We are all one

Just ordinary people
Average Joes and Janes
Want a green lawn and grandchildren

Everything is swell
The Dow Jones is up
Consumer confidence is high
Civilization has few discontents

The strangers among them
Those lonely few
We look up at the top of the mountain
Of normalcy with longing.

So warm and comfortable
In the middle of the herd
Where the silent cold hard wind can’t reach you

Peace train coming
Hop on board
You are the engineer

We must redeem ourselves
For everyone who finds his own redemption
Channels light to the lost sheep

In the beginning there was a great and noble fight,
and a just, brave nation won a great triumph over evil,
only to see this noble fight sold to a long line of war pimps.
What does past war teach us?
Better weapons for the next.

But the warrior class is exempt.
It seeks the inevitable fight, prays to it,
encodes it in canons of honor.
Warrior blood stands alone.

We might write off those chained to the inevitable.
If the fight must come, let them fight it.
We might let them be, watch them march out,
except they can't let us be...
The fight inevitably spills over, ruins us.
