my days come and go
like being on the road
one day not unlike another
except sundays have less traffic
and the funny pages come in color

woke from a dream about a dream
in Houston after Alamo Rose had just drawn her last breath
I woke up unable to breathe
As if my throat was squeezed shut
if I sucked really hard I could manage to get some air into my lungs
but with a whistling wheezing sound
I woke up from that dream
a little while ago
and I remembered my fear
my panic

I did not want to die
I hope I can do better
No fear no panic
when I do draw that last breath

So long so long the old folks would say
so mournfully
so long
will we be here tomorrow
to jam on
will the perpetual jam
be perpetual
who will carry on
when we are gone

I'm so lost,
if I found myself,
I wouldn't know where
I was

You reminded me of an old frankie lane song
"they call the wind mariah"

I did not realize how blessed I was
when my life was in the wind
till I got these san antonio Doldrum blues

jaming for a breath of fresh air
a summer breeze
a crack in the bell jar
freedom
music

Damn!
It's a sky jam!
reach for the clouds!
speak your verse loud!
Make it soar once more,
let's hear your meter!
Damn!
It's a sky jam!
Fly it high.....
you and I ...
What could be sweeter?
