you're a poet jack! born into the
unusual wankered nation
thats us! our mothers shot the moon
but I found out myself how to
paint with a spoon
our fathers looked for glory in the dust
'til the dust overtook them
same thing for us
the time is coming and
anything smaller than that
ain't worth any fear at all
Jam on...
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

more fine poetry from mingo!

......

poetry breathes from these pages,
creates our hopes, dreams, rages,
stands proud on this stage, waves
its short lines, its long lines, its symbols,
its images, its depth of humanity, its
gravity of purpose and lightness,
its tight metaphors, its lucid fluidity,
its personality, its beauty, like the inner
glow of all who know what poetry is,
straight from the pens of those who
insist on expression!

no need for analysis inspection,
it is the ebb and flow, it is the GO
of our heartbeats, complete with
a rush between contractions and pumps,
it is the jump on life, the real, the being,
the connection!

poetry breathes
from these pages!

thanks to you
and your revelatory wisdom
all words forthwith to be written
shall be polished like my knob
and perfect upon completion
oh and uh
drop a hello to your mum
shes one hell of a polisher
gotta love the spit shine
There is no empty space

i love the scent of chlorophyl
after god spills his tears
and oh how green
the trees and grass,
and then a blast
of sunshine through
a space between a clouded
mind

i've always longed
to live on the shore,
but when the storms are enormous
monster storms that make shambles
of a home, i treasure the dry land

weather is something
even god might not
understand

just chit chat
about G_d
I can see now why some people do not wish to spell the word out.

as if Words explain everything

I can't transcend
I have hit the wall
this is it
so let's keep dancing
peggy lee
I can hear her still
singing that song
"if that's all there is my friend
then lets keep dancing."

forcing a go
I just don't know
ALways curious how you all came up with the name for this board.
GO is a game played by beatniks I thought.

I used to play Go with my father. It's a Chinese game. The board is horizontal and vertical intersecting lines. And you use circular glass chips... they're shaped like little space ships... for your playing pieces... one person has black, the other has white... and you place them on the intersections of the horizontal and vertical lines, one at a time, you go first, then i go...

the object of the game is to capture territory. You start surrounding each other. When you surround your opponent's chips, you take them off the board. That territory is then yours.

It's like war. You want to own the whole world.... the whole board. It's a great game! A game can last hours and hours. Long time. Thanks for reminding me of it. I wonder what happened to my dad's GO board and chips... hmmm... will email my sister ... she might know...

Why did we name this board GO? Well I was sitting here thinking of what to name it and I definitely didn't want to name it "action poetry" but that's what it is, really... like the litkicks board... but I didn't want to use the same name.... and so it just came to me that this is what we do when we write spontaneous verse....

We don't think. We just GO~!

and there you have it. :)

I think about your father when you do those math poems

god is the square root of negative one

i

I have looked for the source of the quote for years, I was pretty sure it was froma J D Salinger short story but I have not been able to nail it down.

I like it lot

makes as much sense as anything else I have read about god.

GO is a good name for this board

a good name

Just GO

sometimes drivel
sometimes inspired
sometimes I GO when I should have gone

I am almost gone now.

I'm sorry. I screwed up. The board game called GO is a Japanese game, not a Chinese game, though it says here it originated in China.

You can read about it here
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Go_(board_game)

(You'll have to copy that entire line and paste it in your browser because for some reason, some of the link isn't working)

And there's a photo on the top right showing the board I described and the game pieces. I called them chips but the correct term for the game pieces is stones.

Scroll down and it will show how you surround pieces to capture them and take territory.

I think about my father when I write math metaphors too.

Weather changing
First good day in months
of monotonousmous (double word score )
I am so got dam [sic] of my frazzled brain
Look words up over and over and they won't stay in this geezered brain.

well it is going to be cool tonight going into the fifties
I and I feel like a kid in my fifties again.
Like a how la lou ya [sic sic sic and tired of that]
what ya going to do
polish a GO up
?
well first thought best thought

yeah it is a beautiful night
full moon with storm clouds
passing over
a northern blowing through
nothing between here and canada but a couple of strands of barbed wire

I am busy too
"playing solitaire with a deck of fifty one"

I got a crick in my neck
and i feel the earth humming beneath my feat.

clouded over
shut in suburbia
the worst of two worlds
but that is okay
because a mind is at rest
because I can feel a big orange smoky moon setting in the west
and hear a ralph stanley song playing on you tube

were getting a lot of ink about evo here
unusaual for south american affairs to so much ink
it is usually all about Mexico.

So I sit where I been put
So now I am a Texican
someday I might be a baltomoron again
who knows
even so
home sweet home
and my fellow americans
right or wrong
I am too broke to leave town.

I been thinking about starting a new avant guard movement called ma ma, a successor to da da.

Yes ma ma
Because we been there done that
we got the t shirt, the wars, the dead poets and artists.

MA MA
yes that's my thing.
so unhip
I love it.

its a slice of real life
in a twenty first century futurist retrospective.
