What I remember from OTR
I remember the great protein feast with the trucker i how happy Jack was with the way that driver balled that truck across Ohio, and when the driver had to turn off he would flash his lights to stop another truck so Jack could hop it.

I imagine myself on that night balling the jack with jack

He knew motion was freedom

I can hear the block in Baltimore
1953 I would change buses there, ride the number 20 bus to holiday and Baltimore Streets and walk around the corner and catch the number 19 street car to my junior high on Hartford Ave

Sometimes I would wander up to the Gaiety and recklessly eyeball the posters of blaze star

Then I would go to homeroom class and see Linda Dembo <in her pencil skirt and bobby sox"
and walk around with tented pants all day
Never in my immaculate dirty teen age mind associate the poster the girl and the woody. I think Freud had a word for people like me.
