among all those shards
of commercial transactions
somebody wrote a poem for the ages

it gives me hope in these long nights of the Saturnalia
a poet a singer a musician an artist
somebody doing something besides just trying to cash in on the holiday spirits
something that someone might find five thousand years from now among the detritus the flotsam and jetsam of our long gone civilization and they might think better of us
oh yes
thank you santa :D
I remember when I still believed but was just starting to doubt
got to get back to that

thank you for the music

always thought there was somethin' fishy 'bout the
whole business - even as i watched it all
pass right up the creek -
and in winter too
what the hell do i know?
hell - i'm american
believe anything be it lie
or truth
some folks believe in money -
most americans though they believe
in ideas - hell the whole nation of us
still to this day
believe in ideas
&the Claus ? - he's an idea
and a jolly one at that

Felt good
Rocked the real beard
Rocked a Crocbite
Lotsa people sitting
on my knees
I remember punching a
kid in the stomach when
he said there is no Santa
Musta been 1958
Back when we'd sit on suitland pkwy.
and count out of state plates for fun
Remember Ike and Mamie coming
down that road too
Elvis on Ed Sullivan
My 1st beer....a bitter sip
DC seemed immense
U had to take a bus to go there
11th & Penn. NW
Senators baseball
Street cars
What will u do for your country?
I fell into a burnin ring a fire
Tie me kangaroo down boy!
Doin the monster mash
The Watusi
Swim.....jump right in
Jam perpetual!!!

28 degrees
but the roads are dry
grabbed my Coyote outta the cellar
hit the pavement
stretch the legs
man i want it to be spring
summer
fall
anything but winter
wanna roll
access to gears
forward motion
straightaways
hill country
curve coming up
humping the classic sprocket & chain
but come tax time
come the warm weather
gonna be rockin a 7-speed
internal gear hub
hooked to shaft drive
take more time to say it
than to ride it
gonna be so fine
I'll be hoping the Good lord
be holding off on the rapture
'til i get a few thousand miles
or two
under my wheels

Good to be a wireman
Rapped in the twist & turn
No up or down
Just round and round
Endlessly slow oblivion
Unfolding
Rapping the o say can you see
There's structure going on
I'll be doggone it's like music
On fire
Full of desire
Pushing the fringe
Life like a binge, an explosion
Like the motion on the ocean
Leaving only it behind
Leaving only it behind

rain came in the night
then temps dropped - yeah
everything encased in ice this pre-dawn jam
have to deice yourself just like
a plane - and even though it has
it's place i don't think rhythm
has to be imposed - i think it's
right there in every breath
every damn syllable
if the first thought springs from ice
than all subsequent thoughts
are stone birds sitting next
to a stone canoe
where a ceramic indian kneels with
a big plastic frog what's all face
on his head and
a resin loon looking skyward
in the bow

First thought ice
Melted now leaf sludge
Not a pretty sight
Nice show last night
Some nibbles that
should pan out
Rolling with the wire
Good feeling
1st thought wire
1st thought words
Still reading Ginsberg journals
Actually just finished
St. Jack in print journal next
No kindle version
Maybe some buckowski today
Between wires
Gots him on kindle
He's actually. My favorite poet
Right now
All we got
Fuck the ice
Almost 70 here
That'll change
Countdown to Xmas day
I'll lay low
Get lost in wires
My one day off
Rest will b needed
Jam bleeding
Shmobama
Got my goat today
Care on this motherfucker
Still amass confusion
Midnight mass Tuesday
Might just make it
Soul cleansing
Buddhist style in the chapel
Or maybe not
Could just have a nag champa interlude
Happy holidaze jammers!

tell me about ice
tell me about mountain roads in the far west of gods country in winter and I will talk that trashy trucker talk for when Nietzsche wept and I learned to say "the good lord was with me"
when forutna spun out on soldier summit Utah back before the mountain slide took out the road and the town, little town called thistle I recall, when I think about the present presence that calm cool on my stool feeling when I am so scared shitless and something somebody another nervous system something just beyond my consciousness is got control, and them trash country and western songs about jesus takes the wheel look ma no fingers keyboard slipped over to the invisible side and my cursor dives drives to the right of me

cosmic

still just an old hippy before I remember George Catlett Marshall and how good it was to be a manchild growing up in the promise lond

speaking of Marshal I won't make it back to the sheanadoah valley this winter,... just a spin to the wheel
I live among such anger here
just karma
jam on mam jam on old buck

Why do truck drivers arise earlier than Gary Snyder
"...there is no other life"
I only met him in a novel
and a couple of poems
I think about him sometimes when I think about what I expect from life
the secrete is to expect less
but I am an American girl
I want it all
Christian Dior and Gucci too

road revs
Dr Doom's truckstop
Houma Louisiana
green slime growing on the shower stall walls
but I need a shower
the radio active water at Quartzite Arizona shower there and I glowed in the dark
the road was
good times for me
rolling free like a wheel out of its center
never coming back
unless she finds release from her anger
they say women can't get enlightenment
who can blame her

she is love
