quiet desperation
downhill acceleration
and nothing to be done

i'm a lightweight
but i love the terror
wind behind me
pushing my roll
wheels singin' in their spin
gyroscopic orgasm
all the way to town
massive joy smile
wide across my face
it's copperhead road meets mississippi queen
not goin' to be hard
stayin' insane on
this steel
these wheels
this magic carpet machine
just goin' all out
to help each other
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

From St. Jack to the litkicks phenomenon

Leaning towards the mystical east
W/a touch of comedy in a
time filled with tiny Tim tragedy

riddles resolved
childhood's end
eyes wide open
roll on big mama
with the road disappearing beneath our wheels
the cult of the bicycle
we are glory bound
on holy ground
in the sacred text box
of studio eight jam
thanks dino

birds singing like there's no tomorrow
no wind, no snow, no upturned escapades

usual gossip from mouth to mouth
trees above ground

out wheeling this afternoon on a country road
sun out - sky blue - wind from everywhere
pulled off in the vicinity of open fields
covered in proud new grass where the wind walked
watched a blackbird come down
checking side to side
to land perfectly bullseye on the swaying topmost twig
of a bush out there in the grass
he sat there swaying in the wind for a long time as i watched
i got back on my bike and wheeled away
i did not know when i started riding again
what i was gonna find
and i never guessed what was coming
to find me
Hanshan had his cold mountain & his poems
Ikkyu his blind singer & his cock
Pollock his can of paint & gravity
Davis his horn
Hooker his blues
i have two wheels on red rims
a chain, pedals, & handlebars
it seems i'm doing alright

It's the having something
My toys
Harmonicas
Flutes
Bells & shakers
In the bag
An iPad armed with
electronic sounds
& most importantly
Words, w/the ability to write more words
I need a bike
There's one just sitting outside my back door
Unused, old 10 speed, skinny tires
Gotta find who's it is now that weathers right
I'll use it
Sure would be nice for getting to the grocery store
Ride.....ride.....ride....
Movement.....xscape......& jam!!!
Jam on me!!!

i hear that
i'd say any bike
is the bike to use
get ya up on wheels
get your roll on Lostwire
get your roll on!
lot of bikes get bought
to just sit after a ride or two
no bike should just sit
it was made to roll
but don't listen to me
cuz i'm a true believer
an enthusiastic dis - ci - ple
i'll preach it drop of hat style
let me just say
that backdoor bike
is already talkin' to ya
you've mentioned its existence more than once
i'd say it's time to mount up
it's the moment to roll
you may find it's not for ya
and that's alright
but maybe-just-maybe you'll find
something for the jam
and what then?
that bike outside your back door
needs somebody
i think its picked you

absolute action
blood & bones
the spoken state
no martyrs
laughs & life
straight from the soul
close to truth
working the line
taking the rhythm in hand
each breath fearless
and exposed to monsters
candles held into the hurricane
each word a reckoning & a prophecy
born wild & moving forward
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.
