this day
awake from dreams
write it down
close to actuality
as is possible
a floating world
alternate places
for the actual places
bizarre?
yet constant fact
in dream state
in and out of dreams
then off to brunch
its assortment of
"how ya doing? how's it going?"
greetings
breakfast comes fast
nola half empty
or maybe half full
no alcohol till 11 am.
thats the law
Chris and Sarah come in
sit next to me
@ the bar
we eat
cherished bacon
eggs and garlic mashed potatos
they want drinks too
they leave empty
i drink coffee
till 11 arrives
josh sits to my right
we talk movies
leonard cohen turning 80
today
babies everywhere
inside and out
i make a bet with Bryan on the game
later i lose the 20 dollar bet
drinking 2 martinis
i enjoy conversation till 12 thirty
get invited to watch
the ravens game
devour big burgers with friends
sip my beers and watch
a great game
everybody happy as the ravens
come from behind and win
we say our goodbyes
i walk back downtown
its hot and i do my wash
a shower passes thru
as i watch a picasso
video on youtube
the AC hums
the front door downstairs
whistles its tune
another weekend flies by
me I feel like I'm becoming some kinda Kung fu t.v. Priest.....

the ordinary
in and out of context
is the lifeblood
the heart
the glistening jewel center
of the all
like this tea in my cup
right here
growing colder
& less full
as i write
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

jam on me
jam creation
jam ideas flow
jam keeps mind
visions flowing
in other words i see
the words
when performing
so to get into flow
it all starts here
the freeing up
of jamnation
the becoming sticky
with jam
its in me and its
gots to come out
me I feel like I'm becoming some kinda Kung fu t.v. Priest.....

friday night
satisfied
in rest
a beer
meatball sub
fake or fortune
dissecting a rembrandt
that wasn't
love that show
hard week
tested each moment
a rebar detective
organizer of flow
its all about $'s
keeping afloat
a modern art museum now
science & engineering
building then
come home on the train
riding up the potomac
pastoral natural garden
outside the window
all along the way
seeking refuge in jam
expressing with jam
letting it all hang out
with jam perpetually
me I feel like I'm becoming some kinda Kung fu t.v. Priest.....

jamsturbation
@ the square corner
acceptance
maybe FB won
hell we're all there
everyday
i miss the litkicks
glory daze
now they're gone
a memory
can't go back
so i sit here 10 years on
joints aching
knowing it's time
for reinvention
addicted to the writing
and the earning of
thy daily bread
a dark cloud
hangs above
the unknowing end
what a long strange
trip its been indeed
as the door squeaks
and whistles below
perhaps this is not
totally jam after all
more like a life story
some kind of a personal
spontaneous expression
on the way to the other
realm which hangs
like a dark cloud
low on the horizon
unknown
yet jam its been for
over 3,500 daze
so be it jam it will remain
if it disappears in a cyber
instant.....so be it
like being an artist
it was all in the living
the exercise of doing
it day by day
ya know i never go back
to read this thread
its more about forward
perpetual jamsturbation
so it be
me I feel like I'm becoming some kinda Kung fu t.v. Priest.....

jam exercise
illusion
the shape your in
aint the shape
im in
u dont know
the others shoes
but someday
ifn u live long
enuff
if ya suffer
just to earn a buck
u might understand
love and loss
then loss and love
simple for some
complicated for others
then u start falling apart
or stiffen up
wear out
wore out
no escape
udo what ya gots
to do to get paid
put a roof over the head
keep bellies full
it takes courage
but theres no choice
ya gots to try, try, try
jam on me
hopin mingos ok
ST too

there are no
simple answers
walk a mile
in my shoes
ya gots to bring
the party with ya
in this world of
do-wacka-do
me I feel like I'm becoming some kinda Kung fu t.v. Priest.....
