page 28
no topics exist for this page
have you ever noticed that when we turn a page the post goes into computer limbo for a while
weather is still muggy hot
but a change is in the wind
I could smell the gulf today
150 miles away but I could smell her.

that lil dog is a riot
if he sees me reading a book
he figures it's a toy
the only things he'll mess with are what
he thinks i'm playing with
well worth the investment
givin that doggie the zen bone..........

I been thinking about this line in the GS poem
Thirty miles of dust.
I wonder, dirt logging roads cut through the forest. Does not sound so pretty.

I think i missed something there.

Dog's are better people than people sometimes.

priorities:
never thought any
of it was permanent
perpetual maybe
the mind made up
uselessly prolonged
positive implications
and inspirations
dogs eating, no gobbling
up zen in books
even tore up a
smithsonian magazine
working beneath
sugarloaf mountain
all this morn
a realization-
priorities me!!!!!!!!!!!

Perpetual motion machines
And cemeteries that promise perpetual care
Nothing is permanent
Only nothing
And nothing else
Certainly not me

Joseph Campbell, The Masks of God – Creative Mythology, page 357

I usualy set my own priorities last mark, maybe I have crossed a line between altruism and martyrdom. The only thing that keeps me kicking is fear and anger.

here's the news-
we got two new desks.
blinds to put up.

i'm reading through
my work.
it all sucks.

saw a film called
"happiness"
the other night.
all were confused.
nothing new.
got the blues.

world in a tangle
gotta ride it out
surf the wave
it's big and fast moving
my blues
a deep shade of late
looking to find the
powder blue
knowing it'll come
personally for me
& this is just me
all the outside input
has to be put on hold
the news i mean
it's tough enough dealing
with my razor's edge
existence perpetually................

i have retreated
inside a glass case,
the face of the clock
ticking mockery.

screens gleam
disaster movie
scenes.

i redeem myself
without guarantee,
focused on melody,
harmony, peaceful
dreams.

let us play
music together,
you on rhythm,
me on keys.

let us ride out
storms with laughter
and wordplay.

tomorrow, perhaps?
soon, one day.

the hourglass,

slipping grains
of sand,

has gotta be
turned.

B&O horn sounds
out back where
wind chimes play
cool 4:22 am
missed the 3:00 am.
drums ready
all the instruments
ready to wake up
the world..........
