in the forties
before the beats
raised to hate the Germans and Japanese
Raised to believe in John Wayne and the American way
Big band music
and the hit parade
Vaughn Monroe and Gost Riders in the SKy
Andrew sisters working for the yankee dollar and drinking rum and coca cola
Eddie Cantor singing My Yiddishe Mama

in the fifties
Rock and roll was here to stay
Seduced by that African beat at an early age
I loved Fats Domino
and little Richard too
Wop bop-a-looma ba-lop bomp bomp
Tutti frutti, oh rooti, tutti frutti, oh roo-ooh...
Tutti frutti-i, oh rooti, tutti frutti, oh rooti
Tutti frutti, oh rooti
Now wop bop-a-looma ba-lop bomp bomp

Bell Book and Candle
Kim Novak putting the spell on Jimmy Stewart
Psycho alfred standing on the corner as Janet Leigh drove by on her way to the Bates motel.
Raised to believe that women were god's little puffs of fluff
ANd I should date only nice Jewish girls
Cruising the streets of east Baltimore
Block after block of houses with immaculate white marble steps
a 1949 robin's egg blue studebaker convertible with the top down
girls sitting on the steps waiting for us and checking out our ride

Radio blaring

Tutti frutti, oh rooti, tutti frutti, oh roo-ooh...

Got a girl named Sue, she knows just what to do-oo...
Got a gir-ir-irl named Sue, she knows just what to do
She knows how to love me yes indeed
You don't know what she doin' to me

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh rudi!
yes indeed
drivin all over the west side
zorba dog a golden vision
by my side
chasin the ball
him golden, the ball orange
the shade the preference
hot humid day-o
a quick shower adds to the sweat
the gallery hot
an hour to kill
dinner with a doctor and lawyer couple
who'd a thunk it
they have a gallery on baltimore street
who'd a thunk it
the deals goin down
head 'em in on bikes
everybody get a white tee shirt
quadruple X is the size of choice
walk around with yer hand
down the front of yer pants
holdin yer jewels
a site to behold
"what is hip? can ya tell me
do ya think ya know
what is hip? tell me....tell me...
the passing years will show"......tower of power.....

yet getting away from
the essence of what i'm
trying to produce with
this music......so many factors
all in all an excellent night...............

sitting at the end of the run way
jet fighter's raging overhead
no trains
Baltimore street deals
How they have changed it seems
Down on the block in the fifties
Transfer from bus 20 to the number 13 trolley car
Out to Clifton Park Junior High
Walking by the strip joints
Recklessly eyeballing the posters at the Gayeity Theatre
Pictures of a gone world
When Baltimore was so unhip it was hip
Mt Vernon Square
Can you still sit on a bench and listen to the music from the Peabody?

Music music music
rocking to your words
Have you recorded anything, will I hear you at the big show next week?

closing our show this weekend
I'll try and make it sunday
gotta see how cj's doin'
we're in the process of
making the raga celtic delta blues cd
we've done 3 shows this month
very powerful and amplified
which was'nt the way I
envisioned this thing going
yet this is an america built on
power and loudness and me
i am one hell of a loud wireman
when i get wound up
my next step musically or
rather my vision is to get
together with my violin playing friend
mike monroe and my raga machines
harmonicas and bamboo flutes,
plus my arsenal of percussion instruments
and do a more worldly blend of sounds,
jack are you coming to dc?

Not this year Mark
I am a couch person these days
But I go swimming everyday.
Look forward to hearing wireman shoot the juice to me, make the sound rock my soul blues away.

Shaking Condi's hand
Our first woman president
A good Christian woman
Sings like an angel in her church choir
Trained classical Pianist
Brilliant accademic record
Let us now praise famous men and our fathers that begat us.

Let us now praise famous women and the mothers who bore us.

Iron Hands used to call her "snake eyes"
I bet she has nice firm warm handshake
And like her pimp boss she can look into Putin's eyes and see his soul,

Iraqi honcho won't put down Hezbollah. We don't like that. Time for a coup

a friend just told me in the phone
that a kid wanted to steal her
with a knife pointing to her heart
only two blocks from her home
and that she shouted madly and run
and the kid disappeared in his bike
and I told her when a kid wanted to steal me
with a gun pointing to my kidneys
only one block from my home
and I couldn't shout or run
only gave him my raincoat and two pesos
the things I thought he would want

First night I have been alone it a couple weeks. I could not bear having her out of my sight. Diamond Lil went with her to the doctor's visit. I been driving her car for two weeks. Do you remember the old TV show My Mother The Car. We hang on to the edges of communication, she is preparing to die, she tells me she wants me to have her car. I am spooked to the max, I tell her that, I hope to return her car today. She is going to live it seems. So my death wish still stands. I want out of here before my siblings.

good news, I get the details later today.
