R.I.P. "Action Poetry"

Awhile back, didn't I say I'd hang out here more often? Now that the Creative board is flatlining, maybe I'll swap some chops with the big bops.
Speaking of flatlining...

R.I.P "Action Poetry".
Used to feed on its electricity,
wild, jagged stream of multiplicity,
no reason rhyme complicity.

Now stunted reactivity.
Its flow locked in captivity.
No reggae roots jam livity,
if that were yr. proclivity.

Action poets and no action.
Stutter step in traction faction.
Diction drained to a fraction.
Action poets, no reaction.

Long live the editor.
Stare all nite at a monitor.
Jamming a jam like janitor.
Missing votes like a Senator.

All the king's horses at bay,
O say can we come out to play?

hey, man,
it takes a while to sweep round here
whatcha thinking, it's an auomatic reply system
hell no
gotta wait yer turn
gotta pass the censor
gotta spell 2/3rds of yer words
and know the right tempo

and rest in peace, my ass, man
no one rests round here
it's the honour system
i pledge to write in something like english
and you pledge to hedge my bet
by writing in something like english

something like this
or not
no peace for the linguists
gotta arm up and prepare for siege

Have ya been to Levi's site in the last three years?
Have ya felt the dull thud of its reinvention?
Well, that's what I was gettin' at.
Clueless rebel that I am.
I am truly incorrigible.
bit the hand that fed me.

fish out of water
pale substitute
one glimpse @ the
archives and you see
the dive....the plunge
like it reached the
top rung and plummeted.

Action!
Write your best
and
and
and
and
and
then
come on over here to jam

(mnaz, darlin, i knew of what you spoke - was just channeling a response)

for every action
an exact and opposite reaction
it's all poetic karma

the try's
the thang
my twang
won't change
shoulda
coulda
woulda
dah!
i go there
@1 time
my religion
action poetry
that is
i guess what
bugs me the most
is that they won't
take input about
the matter
the bottom line is
that it is there's
maybe as long as you have
quality the quantity
of poets
does not matter
a lot of good
came from this
abandonment too!
meanwhile i chomp
around the action
fringes.........

change is
the nature
of life

but is death
the end?

when we
resurrect,
are we the
same, or
new creatures?

judih... cool, just checkin'. i'm new here.

talented, the LK troupe,
poets, lit scholars, savvy critics
published, quite accomplished,
seeking quality over quantity,
hip hoppin' the ny lit scene,
name-droppin', beat-boppin',
ginsy kesey kerouac bivouac,
authors, teachers, in-tel-lect,
yet mor-i-bund,
dead-a-rooni.

celebrate the beats
by censoring the beat.
a jam sitting on its hands...
"the essence of action poetry is speed,
sponteneity, and responsiveness", it
says so right on the label, no need babel,
like U and I slippin' verse under the table,
fabled or unstable, ready, willing and able.
but the flow was knocked into next week,
hide and seek, now U don't, now U see 'em,
got the sponteneity of a mu-se-um...

puzzling laundry.
math problem quandary.
webmasters overwhelmed,
cut real-time boards from 21 to done,
but why not just one?

just asking.

tripped out once
a mere teen
was reborn
through momma's
womb, felt certain
i chose her,
chose my sisters,
chose my home

it was all very clear

i knew i'd choose
another momma
next go 'round

yeh... the writing slips down and off the page a lot faster in that new format. that lag time is killer. I wrote a couple bits about 30 hours ago that still haven't shown up-- literally "knocked into next week"... "responsiveness?" false advertising, plain and simple.

But also, i clicked my name to find them because yesterday, they were all listed under my name.... but nothing is under my name any more.

maybe they decided they don't like me again.

Maus is there
(also Kafka)
freezing streets & alleys
& a wink
I lost the map
(in fact I guess I never have one)
I read old windows-glasses
with perimetral vision
& wave
