silent woman in dire straits
I wonder who wrote the book of love
teen spirits in 1956
when I was almost a young man
when I was still autistic as silent snow

lets all jam together and read each other

Wired Flight
Post by WIREMAN » Thu Jan 20, 2005 6:43 pm
like when all time stopped
in Dagsboro, Delaware the
place where the wired man
met the road, head on in '76
I had left D.C. on impulse and
moved in with a band of gypsy
ironworkers at the beach, after
a night of intense revelery and
wrestling bouts... me ...tucker and
paula got in the truck and headed
for "Stompin' 76" in Galax, Va. on the
way I had this chivas regal dream of
flight and tried to take off from the
roof of that chevy pick-up at 70 mph
I did fly right to the edge of the light
which I must add is slow and silent
when all was said and done I came
to on the highway pavement alive...
gloriously alive...although I broke the
right collarbone and was road rash
head to toe......................................

resurrected words
the wireman lives
within us, all around us
in post after post
in the collective consciousness
in the halls of poetry
and spoken word, in the air
hanging above, in the droplets
of time passed, vaporized
my the ravages of years and luck
run amok, and we are all in this
together, friends and poets
doing our best to thrive
or at least eke out a little comfort
and contentment, so roll dem
big fat dice, roll dem big fat joints
smoke your eyelids and dance
on the roof if you can still climb
sing like a fuckin' magpie, spit
into the wind's face, laugh like a hyena
run like like cheetah in your dreams
push back, push back, push back
pull dat ass along with all yer might
'cause ya never know when ya might
not be able to do it anymore, enjoy
each moment, especially the mundane
especially the simple routines, jump up
even if you only clear the ground by half an inch
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

temporary humbolt county™
war fighters from birth
we sublimate noxious humors from human nature
I won’t hate the sinners..

Temporary as Firesign Theatre playing on the broken radio in my head.
I don’t know jack shit about existentialism but I think the frog was right, hell is other people, but Dino could make poetry out of it

I am grateful this
this unit of clay is momentarily occupied
everything is beautiful and nothing hurts
hanging out hanging on

listening to John Mayall
lets me travel back in time as if
time machines were common place
and oh what a journey
when my whole life was in front of me.......
Now I'm old and gray
but that music make me feel oh so young
so i'll take what I can get
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

wireman is no longer here
but his words remain
echoes of his spirit
beboppin' the jojo jam
with this thread
shall his memory be honored
and just maybe
the spark he lit
will continue to burn

wireman came as a dove
the other birds were skittish
sat atop the fences, on the wires
on the garage
all looking down like the reverent
into the garden
at me, at wireman's fearless
endeavor, all types
wrens, sparrows, catbirds
I sat quietly in awe
very pleased to spend Sunday morning
with so many friends
cerebral poetry filled the air
first time I'd been to church in many years
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading
