Baltimore

land of pleasant living
by the bay
more than beehive
hairdos and thoughts
of divine
more than deals on the
corner
more than empty houses
and people with empty
looks in their eyes
it's more about the
silence of streets @ 6 am.
bouncing from bar to bar
without a plan
watchin' the gulls float
over the the harbor
from up on federal hill
a place where a person
can take a stand
for a Beat cat like me
it's the promised land

memory in the mist of a dream
my distant memories of B'more.

The memories that shine the brightes were on the water front
close enough to it at eastern caroline to hear the fog horns
in bed at night
eastern and caroline

Most of all I miss the the water front
laying the in the darkness
on foggy nights
listening to the fog horns
jitterbug and me pretending our bed was a boat.

thanks jack and mingo.....yeah i took that shot and enhanced it in cartoon mode jack....it's taken on east fayette st. & broadway back when i was doing the hopkins hospital parking garage.....here's one looking across the harbor from canton to ft. mchenry & locust pt.<a href="http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v497/ ... 4003-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v497/ ... 4003-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Mark, just showing you what this would look like if you use the IMG code... there's a very cool thing here called "lightbox"... your image is resized to fit the window and then when you click it, it shows up bigger with the lightbox feature... cool, huh? ... if you click "edit" you can see the code... all it is is the image code on either side of the image URL ...click the picture below for a larger view to see the lightbox effect.... sorry to interrupt... just wanted to show you this cool feature...

I hope this one gets made into a banner!!!!

.......um D do you remember how impossibly difficult it was for me to even get an image on here????.....i think i'll stick with what i'm doing if u don't mind.....anymore complications and i'll be back where i was before....and that's knowhereville......
