This picture of a delusion of (mainly moral) inferiority is completed by sleeplessness and refusal to take nourishment, and- what is pyschologcallly very remarkable_by an overcoming of the instinct which compels every living thing to cling to life.

only poet's bleed, to survive and to try and use reason to make the moraly blind see, yeah I could see how that would make a person feel helpless/hopeless; that maybe there was something else he could have done to prevent this from coming to pass, a personal guilt for all the death and destruction done by those who worship mighty smighty gods. But sad as it seems if we can't find Zion between the pallet of the beautiful mountains, a road map can't help you. Zion is always uphead, and right now, every mile marker is at the exact center of it.
