The quest for pie & answers
answers & pie
yum & why?
food for thought
indeed
or action
reaction
a tastey contraption
embeded in the mind
so off to find
some MoonPie

and the show must go on!

Spoken word
or shmaltzy song

As long as there's a rythm
there's a soul

There's a whole
in my bucket

gotta mend it
gotta bend it

gotta shape this obese world
to fit my pale

rythm is down the road dude
tone deaf and tune deaf and can't keep time
It a world of silent words

Every keystroke is a leap of faith

my key's lost,
my faith somewhere behind the rusty wok
digging the epiphany of trash
crumpled old puppet
nose chomped by a cockroach
been through hell
but back to bring reports
listen to the tales
there's wisdom in every rattled pane

So much wisdom
wise I am
in my own eyes.

My faith is glib
my windows don't rattle
My keys are sticky

My keys are sticky
the letters worn off
bashed and abused
to ejaculate more verbage
wordish spew
times infinity
all to be born
and die
in a cyber creche
what a mess
a cacophony of letters
but what's better
than words
and pictures
and sounds?

sometimes when the fighter jets from the air force base across the road thunder over head, the windows rattle.
I don't hear wisdom
just noise
but it is peace time here.

I got to stop reading the papers

so much wisdom
so much sorrow
and the hillbilly band is singing
on the sunny side of life

If I had a ryhme for you I would be a happy fella
nothing but memories of rattling windows

only thing better than words and sounds and pictures
is some peace and quiet
you be the poetry man
make her something that ryhmes
with wonder

The storm before the calm?

I used to live near an air force base
screaming fighters over head
over heard
sonic booms
howling machines
enough to scare the dead
and then...
silence

tick, tick, tick

My father had one of those old clocks
with hands
and a movement
made of real things
like wood
and it smelled
and it talked to me

tick tick tick

I never heard it more loud
than after the planes left
and then...

They'd come screaming back again...

It was black and white
up and down
here and there
come and go
cycle after cycle
and there was never a reason
it was just like a season
of calm
and noise

the N is worn away on this keyboard
The M is fading fast.

there is wax all over the Cap Lock, Shift Key and Ctrl
from when I was burning a candle for mtmynd when he was ill.

Just city hick from baltimore
that old house was falling down

the windows rattled like the walbash cannon ball
from the trucks on Pulaski Highway
three feet from my bedrom window.

slept like a baby
but in the summer I would visit some friends in the country
toss and turn cause it was too quiet.

My father's tombsone is leaning bad
in Workman's circle cemetary
from the vibrations of the trucks rolling by

I sit here at this virtual windshied and feel like I am running down the road
Freedom
got to be free

fear strikes out
got to be free
from fear sometime

Sometimes I see the end of the world coming
but something tells me it is just the end of me.

she needs a magic carpet of words
all i got is these cinderblocks
somebody please
help

to tired too sleep

waiting for a word or two

that street car is running late

thinking boom shackalaka

too quiet to sleep

I need a train

to rattle my brain

like a jigwaw puzzle

I don't know what to say

I want to bring you flowers

I want to see you safe

But it is a selfish wish

All I really want is to keep on reading your poetry

Like an answer to a prayer

I hear a train coming.

got to go catch that sleep bound freight train.

I hope you have a good holiday big sister.

ferlinghetti up on that highwire
we all wait for a beat bop to reach the top
trapeze artistry
sending a morse code
picking up a telegraphed pixel
tiny gnome on our shoulder
conscience in top hat
spats, you got raps
you got a million centuries of grok
we got it
blank mind
fresh squeezed worries
put em to sleep
look up, way up
a giant poet is aligning our chakras
smile!
it's a kundalini and it's a coming for to carry us home
