if i put it out there
i mean really out
will you knock in a line with me?
show me a spark
come on, girl,
hit the high notes
bring on the bass
croon in the wild web wilderness
i think i hear a tune

looking for a spark
a flint stone, a match
something to light my fire
a burning desire, a ember of hope
just an idea smoldering
in a damp bush pile of stones

looking for that gasoline
that extinct dinosaur of an engine
to stoke my flames
to send me higher
than my bonfire of vanities

looking for the love light
looking for the spirit of burning desire
looking far inside to the essential
the flame of my creativity
waiting for the winds to fan the fire
Freedom's just another word...

To feel that burning
deep inside
the place I seek
to have those words
those visions
fall off my mind
now it aches
the effort
the sweat
from broken brow
small aging eyes
squint at the light
the glowing ember
my belly's oven
fading warmth
cooling breath blows
broken brain
it's all too heavy.........

lie in the radiant energy
of who we are
well, unwell, energetic beings
even in sardonic boredom
we spout brilliant epithets
throbbing artery flowing
fabulous beings
kirilian photos on acid
pulsing units of thought and light
chakra commotion
waiting for a stage

"go towards the light"
on my epitaph she wrote
feeling my way, third eyed
in this darkness
broken bodied, stepping on the bones
of our histories
mysteries unfolding
light as a feather, I free my self satisfied ego
generated generator of generations

sitting in the light of this new day
i see beyond the clouds, the silver lining beckons
somewhere out there, a rainbow arches its back
a pot of shining golden dreams and schemes
inspiration in a rainstorm of tragedy

you live, you die, you are, you are not
yining and yanging along the trail
a lantern of hope in the distance
respite from the climb, the seekers still seeking
a path without ruts is not my path
a climb on the easy road not the way
strive for the light, seek the light
for the view from the top is magnificent

I will carry your burden
I will lend you a hand
I will love what you create
I will be a creator
I will light the way with you shining at my side
Freedom's just another word...

pushing up the craggy cliff
pulled up by those who've found footholds
inspired by those who push higher
we feel our hearts drawn
and we tag along
each step a promise of trust
a matter of solar plexus
agreement
we didn't sign up for this
but we totally agree to keep on

Melodious Plunk
Originator galore
Played on the Trane
Unstoppable rail
On and on
Miles and miles
And Dolphy "Out To Lunch"
Duke's swing turned upside down
Uptown on the "A" Trane
Downtown flown on the Dizzy Bird
All night long
Lady Day
Still until this day
Never alone the lonely Monk
