"Jesus is just alright by me, Jesus is just alright, Oh yeah!" The Byrds...

The Naughts are over and here we are in the Tens,
I am happy in the knowledge of the Lord, upon whom I depends...
I'm a poet, I know it, my shoes show it, just like Dylans.

So keep those cards and letters flowing to the continuum...
Live and let live and let's all help each other...
"You didn't have to do like you did, like you did, and I thank you!"
Even in the land of broken dreams, the Lord helps us to get on
the mend.

rothco's chapel in houston texas
so you be jammin i be jimmin
and god is merely a presence
and a force for good
so we left in droves for the buddha
and the tao
and the medicine woman

th first christians thought they should martyr themselves
so thye welcomed horrible deaths at the hands of the romans
and their faith was celebrated and honored
while, the tao serpentine was at work
when some clever little christian
discovered he could light the incense and say hail caesar once
and go home and pray to god and jesus
and suffer none the more for it
and as the heretical saints got themselves massacred by beasts
there were a lot more who took the sneaky way out, most did,
and the numbers of roman women in the upperclass grew,
they could light both altars without guilt

so the sneaks make survival of christianity
possible
and the sneaks kept the lights of sanity and humane living alive
while the church became massively corrupt
the sneaks kept love alive
and where's your flow taking ya, back to th word slamjam :o

Let's all sneak into next week,
'Cause we made through Sunday afternoon...
The river has drowned Nashville, TN &
We are high and dry...
Won't hurt to pray for those in the floods, or
Those close to the Gulf shores when the oil slick
is coming in...
Hoping for an easy hurricane season for y'all
in Florida, and a cool summer...
I got me a Saturn and I'm cruisin' on down the road...
May all the truckers drop their heavy load...
Jammin', jammin', yeah, I like de jammin', too.

 Tarbaby, you way undercover
but I know you're in there
Judas Priest has his head in his hands
still hanging his head
and your mustard seed is in yours
choppin down mountains with th side of your handdd
And then I blew my brain on Nietzsche and LSD
And I was a believer.
But my faith has evolved
and now I am blank
I have thunked all my thoughts about god
I don't fuck around with god anymore
"Man must realize his limitations"
It is too much for my peanut sized brain
Only you can be so present even in your bewilderment :?
We are th new berzerkers, men who have come alive again
not sword bearing beasts, big buddy is a modern man
Yes we am
more like the Aramaic Jews and the Hammites we are
and the Gentiles around the old places in the north around Nazareth, man
and the old country Hebrews
now they made you what you were, once,
and th sneaky Romans kept you alive (civilization was saved by St Patrick and th Irish)
maybe th sneaky geeky Greeks did know yas afterall, but way ornamentational frivolity,
all th way into Tierra del Fuego they will keep dancing until they get it right
No wonder you went th way of th snake, Chinese style,
and laid it on th Lord, He needs friends, man
With friends like the Nazi's, who needs enemies?
The Anti-Christ had Hitler by his nostrils
but you never left home, never lost faith in humanity, God's creation
even in th diaspora
even in th last holocaust,
just this time they were disguised, called themselves th master race, not Christians,
while they killed more Jews than ever before, even during the epoch of the Crusades,
when a whole lot of Jews were killed over many more years by far
than those horrible years just before these rosebuds here were born.... :o
Oh how owww the Fascists kept praying to God in your name, Hey Zeus, man you have been traumatised :(
How we gonna ride if we're traumatised? Oh I forgot, all we other 3 horsemen are traumatised, too,
an Arab and three Jews....
You strayed with th Jews and disguised as a mal-content
Ya gotta come back, man
We'll be riding soon
tall in th saddle
Nevermind ya can not ride that elephant just on Passover maybe someday
but we got biz, man, it's 2010 CJ!
Yer horse misses you,
we been groomin her
She's a beast, gentle like you, cuz
You know her
The black mare at the arroyo in Cerrillos
Jimbo saw her on LSD
Neitzce came later for him, thankfully,
but you took one trip over the line
and knew you had seen that mare somewhere before
She is yours, Tarbaby
Now how do you feel about riding?

Nietzsche an old testament prophet
He wrote the book of Jackadiah
Never been with the Jews Jim
I am of the Jews
It is all about family
Reckoned matrilineally
IF you mother a Jewess you are a Jew
You father could have been Shtler
Or Heidegger
Don't matter
In that early church women played a mighty role
till the creeps took over.

More Christians martyred by Christians than Pagans. That is just my opinion I could be wrong. Most times I am it seems

I am trying to remember the story about the time you were wandering in New England? I think and you came upon the broken road.

I am going to be a grand uncle in September, that keeps me hanging on.
I would like to see the kid through her first couple of years. If I can make it to 75, that would be good.

Please pardon all the quotes.

I have never heard of tikkum olam till j mentioned it a while back.
1534-1572 Isaac Luria invents the idea of “tikkun olam” (repair of the world) as a means for redemption. Jews always believed in making the world a better place, but some, instead, had hoped for a messiah to come and rescue Jews from awful times. Isaac Luria says that if you believe in the Messiah, the way to hasten his coming is to do your share to make the world a better place.

I am an ignorant child about Judaism. I never loved my father more than the day my grandparents sent me to Hebrew School when I was just a little jackster. I was crying and raising such a fuss at school they called my father who came and took me home.

I think about the work you do, I would not deny anyone the comfort of their faith.

I am not much of a writer, "oh lord don't let me be misunderstood"

I am trying to practice Bland Truthfulness

I found this bit on a Buddhist website sorry I can't find the link right now.
To practice true and fair, take up bland truthfulness from the onset.
Do not worry whether the other person understands or not; just answer the truth

Winter is finally going.
Pushed his fat-assed chair back,
scraped off the last of ice.
He has no idea of spring.
Overstayed his welcome for sure.
Depression, psychosis, in his wake,
he licks his icy fingers.
Forgets the past.

Spring is peeking through the torpor.
Hummingbirds thrill the air,
vibeing out sweet red milk.
They have no idea of winter.
Stayed away too long they did.
Hope and glory in their wake,
let the technicolors begin!
Forget the past!

wake up and smell the roses,
poem of winter to spring
as only a woman sings her truth
inside herself like no man can
without her help we are lost
and we have been bossing her about
for almost ten thousand years
of winter and hell, cold comfort farm

a new season's coming indeed
bland indifference gives way to colourful truthfulness
bland truth is underneath colour and glory
and all the gory details we already know
and will not forget because we are stronger than ever
not weakened, disillusioned shallow and vapid,
as the koreans love jesus and the jews love buddha
still trying to grow and manifest better living

great uncle jack, clickety clack, get back, get some more,
you are my god-brother that's for sure
so present for me and the others here
you are a real man, you know how to care
and strong, not weak, camus' vision of indifferent calm and grace just a tear
from the olden man's eye as he greets the year waiting
for the other men to put down their swords

mythology has archetypal symbolism that Jüng probed
anthropology knows clan stories from all over the globe
they start with creation stories and the first ancestors
and are told over and again while listeners wonder and are comforted
adam and eve and the garden of eden is a clan myth that survived
out of south mesopotamia it was told and told
and the archetypal symbolism is profound
but we have always had it wrong twas not the woman who tempted man
blame it on the bitches, guys? EH :?:

guess who's coming to dinner?
lao tzu, buddha, the 4 horseman, the earth goddess,
her entourage including kwan yin and white buffalo woman,
they gonna have a celebration

oh yeah, confucious was an athiest more or less
and he wrote a book on how to behave in society
elevated to religious stature, he was intellectual tho
already patriarchs in china, he made man polite for a while
at least they considered it in-between battles
while the taoist hermitages and shaolin places were hidden up high
in mountains clouds and silence they were not patriarchs
like the chinese man who cut off his hand to show his sincerity to bodhidharma
the joker's wild, the one handed patriarch, the wounded man

judaism was a vehicle for love to grow
or a goose that was almost cooked but got away
and laid golden eggs, three horsemen
and the ancestor of judaism was the ancestor of islam,
rather his unsung wife and mistress were the mothers of judiasm and islam
islam was a vehicle for love to grow
another golden egg from long ago, another horseman, reciting poems from our angel

we have hurt the women they know this we have to change
how men can become aware of this is a miracle
signs and wonders to follow
real disillusionment is at hand, the apocalypse,
as we tear down those walls that divide us, armeggadon
and look at the theological intellectual constructs we already have to work with,
just drop the macho power biz and learn how to listen to a woman and to each other.
we are morons, slow learners, doubting thomases alienated from our profferred faiths,
and know what we see, which is why we need to take another look,
even as we laugh and burn the sutras with han shan
we cup our hands and say "thankyou, mother of pearl" and we know
the source is a holy spirit who loves us 8)
I wouldn't hog your intellect
I wouldn't ask you questions
I wouldn't tell you what to do
or give you my suggestions

the dawn dosen't need me to greet it
http://www.studioeight.tv/phpbb/viewtop ... light=dawn
he is already saved, meek brother, outlaw poet, let him be comforted abba

Sigh
at the hope and glory
in your poem

we must forget the past
because those who remember it
are doomed to repeat it
for many years I suffered from an irony deficiency

Remember what Deda Meher Baba says: "Don't worry, be happy!"
But as for me I am operating under the influence of the stars and a new intro alter ego: Sri Pradesh Ichiban, Hon. monk disciple of Swami Beyondananda, and of far Rangoon Buddhism. Remember ten koans of contention: 1) Be satisfied with lot--even if have trailer parked amongst knee high johnson grass...2) Not take fun out of fundamentalism; 3) Be satisfied, at times, with soup for supper; 3) Do not worry about crackers, they may be added later; 4) Not cut off nose to spite face; 5) Live and you might let live; 6) Keep in contact, and I don't mean glasses; 7) not worry about tomorrow or the end of time...Eight) Speak with the honesty of a dying man; (9 Contemplate your surroundings; 10) Act with compassion toward all sentient creatures. Above all, "seek and ye shall find, knock and door be opened, ask and ye shall receive." Right now my request is for 200 love balloons. 8)

oh yeah i heard of him
swami beyondananda
he's another new yorker
who moved to san fransisco after a journey to india
he had a crisis on the road there
he was a yogi bum
he had a reuben attack and went to delhi
looking for a deli, the delhi deli
they had moved to a new deli, the new delhi deli
but when he got there, they had moved again
delhi was too provincial and not enough new yorkers wandered thru there like fools looking for a deli
and new delhi was the capital and grand and cosmopolitan
so they began the new delhi deli and the still novitiate yogi, not yet a swami, smelled it from afar
craving a reuben he went to new delhi
with a growing anticipation
as he was thinking the same thing
as the people who had the deli dream
but when he went to find the new delhi deli, they had moved to better quarters,
so busy they had become, and finally stayed with the new new delhi deli
and when the yogi saw the deli for real he was overcome with delight
and said everything is the same everywhere
then he said to them, a reuben on rye
make me one with everything!
he got satori with his first bite
and when he finished the reuben,
he was a swami
and went to the city
