a transient jam
hard to keep up
but I caught the wave
as the tide went out to sea ~
saw a humpback whale
spouting it’s jam
like a fountain gone wild
jamming without hesitation
breaching forth
with no loss for word

did I mention how much I dig the Bad Brains, circa 1979 lately?
"The Big Take-Over"... Man, that is punk at its finest.
That is some rockstone rock 'n roll baby.

i remember it
like yesterday
madam's organ
art co-op D.C.
me back from
biting the big apple
washington a little
country town
by comparison
we had a high charged
scene and the bad brains
were the center of the vortex
playing in the basement @
1st with the rat's running the
water pipes in a frenzy
later we moved it upstairs
to the gallery, immersed in
the high octane energy
it was a time, i remember well

I'm gonna call
this new decade
the Twenties.

Gotta get a flapper
dress, anybody got
any?

I'm gonna
make this decade roar,
for sure!

Gonna dance the whole
way through, do the charleston,
how 'bout you?

Flappers' on finger-snappers
Flipsters & Dipsters background & vocals
Dipstick on nuttybuddy & drums...
jammin' in 7/11
not even Brubeck & Corea
cut that signature, this time
(mebbe the Zagreb Jazz Quartet, with
Betty Jurkovic in Klezmerville?)

...wait, Zappa!
