and he did find
his peace of mind
and he did find
the fire to desire
and he did go to
big sur and die
a lil more inside
whilst he hid
behind a bottle
of cheap wine
missed the dinner
with henry miller
and assorted friends
ol henry mighta changed
something in that beatific
mind, but and a big but
that's not the WAY the
story goes, nah they went
on a trip trap haiku drunken
boat adventure in lew welch's
jeep across the country
on bennies without any sleep

lost boy ramble, ya know the

only way jack angel could exist was to fly.............
"Make me an angel that flies from Montgomery
Make me a poster of an old rodeo"

"Hello Carlyn its old Jack...,"

After Neal died he would
phone Neal's widow, she got tired of the callsand would pretend they had a bad connection and hang up on him, after a while he stoped calling,

I call him St Jack but that don't I think he was perfect, but when he was balling the jack with that trucker on his first tumbing it to the west coast, man I wish I had been that driver. When I say he never learned to drive that was not a put down but an irony, he could hear the highway sound, I wish I could write that beat, it is a rush, it takes my breath a way, the pounding of the tires across the concrete slabs that dont quite abutt evenly, I ten coming in to LA from the east, slam dam bam, mile after slamming every ten feet over another rough joint in the road, the sweet swish of water under her wheels on Hwy 30 In Wyoming, the icy silence of black ice, wireman I wish I had a voice to sing but I know you know what I mean, the beat of his words because he could hear the music.
"Nobodies Wife" I don't know if that book will ever be published memoir by his wife the one who brought him the coffe when he was scrolling, the mother of his daughter. Nice scene I read in there about the time she met his mother. It is in an Anthology "The Woman Of The Beat Generation, his "real gone chicks"

come on wireman we got to GO

Hey! I know Mike Bisio
in that film!
We were
in the music scene
in Seattle,
when I was
Dede.
Might have even,
gigged with him,
I don't know......

It's cool he's doing this movie,
done that play.
I remember,
thinking,
he was not
all that great a bass player.
Maybe he's mellowed.
Maybe I have......

Great they filmed it
in Bellingham,
I used to
live
up there
nearby,
spent good times
in Beeham
as we called it....

Desolation Peak,
beautiful place,
we used to
roam around up there,
in the flower meadows,
fool around naked
flesh and flower petals....

That was a long long time ago.

Hope I get a chance to see this one!

Bellingham Washington is 20minutes from
where I am here in White Rock, B.C. I am literally
right on the border. The border guards are somewhat
mean these days. It's not just since 9/11, but the
Marajauana from B.C. is such a big cross border
business. If you are busted growing pot (Hydroponics)
in Washington State it's ten years. Here in British
Columbia, it's a light fine, and the lecture, "Stop being
such a bad boy or next time it will be 30 days."
