train power
real time
best time
american streets
a sameness that
makes one ill
especially on the
suburban sprawls
all the commercial
zones
points to a lack
of creativity
living in an old
historic district
alleviates some of
this yet
there is a concrete
jungle desert lurking
in the shadows
everywhere
in this land of the
not so free anymore
me I feel like I'm becoming some kinda Kung fu t.v. Priest.....

hear that
hear that
and hear it -
my nation
my tribes
seem blind to it sometimes
or maybe it's me that can't see -

i guess the sameness started when we were kids,
i feel real depressed when i walk the streets of dc
and see the faceless concrete jungle its become.....
some projects are amazing others make u barf....
.i took part in much of the change as rebar man,
having to support a family, food shelter et all.....
but....now i specialize in museums
and science centers thank goodness... 8)

moon shadows
mountain jumpers
thumpin tires
20 ft. crocodiles
all the amphibians
frozen in prime
the broken tailed
tiger creeped thru
rahjistan, dodging poachers
living off the land
1,400 left in the
subcontinent wilds
many more in zoo's
where the touristas
do the I spy
built a great ape house
amazonia too
spent some time
knockin round the
national zoo
the rooster crows
across the potomac fields
at dawn, ain't no reason
for me to set my
cell phone alarm
sleeping in cars
watching the stars
turn to peach skies
by dawns early light
as the big crows
take flight

breathing life
into jam
john fahey
twanging guitar
strains
sunday bells ringing
in the morning
now 4:11 pm.
breathing life
laughing at Dali
on whats my line?
youtube
semi miracle
notice...49ers vs. chargers begins
one day to b
one day to cleanse
one day to write
one day to wire
one day to hear the bells sing
across this bit of americana history
at the square corner
where the confederates
laid siege and the citizens
survived....

Jody says it's mine but you can have it for 17 million
It Came Out of the Sky - Creedence Clearwater Revival
america for sale - down deep -
her ground will hold you
for keeps when you die
she sees everything under the sun
even at night
winter festivals
summer carnivals
you can get married
and divorced there and she
won't blink an eye
the days ordered up
coming one after the other
you can stand up there
& you can lay down
eat your supper
have a drink
the whole thing spinning 'round the sun

breathing life
into a waning jam
we are like
the only 2 left
when we die
will the jam
live on
im sure we wont be
able to give a fuck
when we're gone
but i wonder
why such a cool thing
like spontaneous jam
has dwindled down
to two old jamsters
like us???
just thinking
thats all
maybe its time to
stick a fork in this
jam chapter and
move on???

don't know myself -
sometimes i think that folks ain't
comfortable with just letting the thing roll
ain't "poetic" enough for them
or something
hell give me a place where
i can just relax in the come & go & i'm happy
ain't gotta create - just hook in
and go
i'd like to see more people
get enthused too but ...
if ya don't have any trouble breathing
ya shouldn't have any problem jamming -
maybe it's the setup too got something to do with it
like you pointed out sometime back
it's hard to see the dance of the thing like this
hard to hear the jazz
buzzing underneath
still even with all that
if i don't have much to say when i get here
by the time i've read a couple of posts
i usually have something going ...
maybe it's like our sisters with the ancestor thing
it falls to the elders to take care of the going on

interesting little discussion me and doreen just had in discussion mingo....chk it out.....im like u about here....the more i get into the mix, the more i start the say...jam...whatever it is....most times im just happy having a simple response, but, i remember back when it was realiy rolling, and i know this....it was because it was living before your eyes.....words tumbling down the page before you....whatever that program was at litkicks thats what made it spontaneous, it was never duplicated by anyone on the internet....beats me why anybody would wanna change such a cool thing....

Wireman - checked out the discussion you had with doreen - i know what ya mean about the flow on litkicks - i've searched the net too to see if anyone else was running a setup like that but no luck flat zero nada - when i found out that levi was shutting down the site i wrote him a rant, man it all came spilling out and he answered me in kind - still, like judih pointed out - there's us - and it's worth a shot - i get a lift outta this kind of thing - maybe we just oughta enjoy ourselves - nothing like people seeing other people having fun at something to want to join in themselves been my experience - don't know but it's worth running it i think - who knows but what we won't all end up singing :
"Ya gotta roll roll roll
ya gotta thrill my soul
all night long" - Roadhouse Blues - The Doors
