so glad my nose is still working
without what you describe here
the world just wouldn't be nearly as full
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

same - my mother's sense of smell has been deteriorating for years, almost in lockstep with the increase in her dementia. It's affected her sense of taste to the point where eating is now just another body function to be performed.

I sometimes envy the dog - he probably sees more with his nose than I do with my eyes.

A few others:
 that rubbery/lentil swamp smell
 freshly-turned earth
 Crayola crayons
lavender (reminds me of a woman I once knew)
baby powder (reminds me of another)
livestock/manure (herbivores only, please - reminds me of home)
 campfire smoke
 sugarhouse steam
Canada mayflowers

As long as the dog hasn't been walking in anything nasty, they smell a little like popcorn. 'Course, that's a big if........
