I miss yidish. Eva Shapiro(blessed be her memory) had an expression in Yiddish she was fond of.
she had a sense of humor like Gertrude Stein's.
(Yiddish translation for google not sure of its accuracy) What she meant was "the mind of a cat" kind of snarky I guess, she used it for people who always got caught by surprise when the sun came up every morning
