It’s a difficult time.
I always knew we would lose
Everyone eventually.
Everyone.
Some leave for new adventures,
social media stations, new friends.
Some die of cancer or heart disease.
Some people never get a chance to say goodbye
Or see you later, or whatever they want to say
Before they go but they just stop, and we don’t
see their names anymore!
I just never ever thought I’d be worried
that someone so dear and precious could possibly have
been murdered or taken hostage
And so I’m out of my comfort zone,
Often crying for you, your children,
your grandchildren, waiting waiting waiting
Just in case— with hope and some freshly baked bread
and homemade soup.

I can’t imagine what you’ve been through.
My mind and heart are ripped apart!
Solace comes only when I know and remember
every single day, every single time, that you have
been peaceful and encouraging others to connect
with love and creative energy!
I’m crippled with the inability to express myself.
Continually thinking of you, your husband,
your children and grandchildren,
Your many many friends who love you!

I fear
Everything I say is wrong.
All I have is hope and love.

an asylum run by lunatics
spouting delusions
worshiping false gods
battling false demons
measuring acumen in decibels -
one voice
quietly
floated above the noise
with words of mindfulness
harmony
simplicity -
a friend to all -
crafting beauty
and encouraging those
who strive to do the same -
a threat to no one
and yet...
the lunatics still run amok -

My heart aches

If I am so affected, how must they feel?
I cannot imagine their suffering, so

to deplore, the evil deeds of human animals

Who could harm the most peaceful peace-loving
people on the planet?

I pray incessantly to the Universe
Let there be relief from this madness!
