measured mass
iotas of oxygen
livin small
tredding the non-space
between barely dressed
and fully oblivious
mind en route
in no particular rush
spirit caught by any old wind
modest modicums of momentum
downhill humbly acknowledged
livin small, invisible footprints in the sand

buddhas big feet
trekking across india
up to the himalayan
heights, whistling a
bajan tal. landing in
china as bodhidharma
watching the wall,
then putting on his
big shoes and heading to
tien tai mountain heights
with a cold mountain song...............

a breath of life on
this razors edge....................

I looked from the pier
with the crane operators
cool-rays on
and low and behold
there was manta ray
with a 20 foot wingspan
gliding down the shoreline
30 feet from the sand..........

manta ray in shallow water
shadow of wings
tail of spike
welcome mat
to Red Sea waters
watch her bask in cool clear stream
follow her to infinite turquoise depth
(not in Kansas anymore)
