Using ~GO!

Post by WIREMAN » September 5th, 2005, 8:21 pm

read my poem
listen to my words
w/ the raga-machines
written in trance
won't ya give these
words a glance
I'm dying for the chance
to rearrange you
from brain to brain you
it's a university of word
and it is the world
soothes the soul
this poetry
sacred words
for you and me

read my poem
hear my words
spoken, shouted out
to the day
never saying, "get the
hell outta my way!"
won't ya please
listen.........

read my poem
listen to my words
w/ the raga-machines
written in trance
won't ya give these
words a glance
I do I do I do
that is what I am trying to tell ya
you shuffle my molecules
you bounce my atoms like billiard balls
you untwist the kinks in my DNA
music has charms to sooth my beasts

poetry born from the spirit of music I think I read
be bop a lulu
I can almost hear one by judih
she was boppin down the street
man it was trippy so cool
I wonder if I can find it again

I found some balance with a lot of help from my silicon pals
them heavenly gates only swing open for children

From Endangered Minds, Dr. Jane Healy
Left Hemisphere
Right Hemisphere

automatic codes- quick recall of specific words, letters, spelling, math tables
analyses and arranges details in order, e.g., time concepts, cause-and-effect relationships (first X then Y) and the sequential patterns of motor movements (e. g., tying shoes, forming letters with a pencil)
Is auditory rather than visual
responds to novelty
deals with wholes not parts
is visual not auditory
relative position of objects
place in space

In language processing -

phonology - fine distinctions between sounds
the order of sounds in words
syntax - the order of words and their relationships
some types of word meaning (e.g., function words)
other aspects of language comprehension
In language processing -

general meaning
some aspects of word meaning (e. g., content words)
getting the "gist" of speaker's intent
parsody - melodic pattern of speech
gesturing and body language
thinking metaphorically

In Chapter 6, Endangered Minds, Dr. Healy writes:
"As both hemispheres work in tandem, they constantly toss the mental "ball" back and forth as they deal with different aspects of a problem. Some educators have suggested children today are more "right brained" because they rely too heavily on abilities commonly associated with the right hemisphere to handle academic "balls" that should be fielded by the left. It is true that traditional school-oriented tasks such as reading, spelling, computing accurately, writing logically, and reasoning analytically depend heavily on left-hemisphere systems, but they cannot be accomplished without the help of the right. The critical question, therefore, is really not if children are "right brained," but if their environments are equipping them to use both hemispheres interactively."

I don't see her here much anymore. She could jam with you like nobody else. You both made the sparks fly. I mean it was magic, it was wild, it was beatiful, it was poetry, it was music to my ears. Now you and her hardly jam anymore. She hardly posts here anymore. I suppose she is busy. I hope it has nothing to do with me.

first draf deleted

Mark spontaneous gibberish going to edit it now

Edited once

I work at home my own hours. The last two paychecks totaled $25. I been doing better this week now I scribble an hour and
work an hour. I am self employed, quarterly tax due this month. Got to bust my @$$ this week. The myth of the forty-hour workweek. The Hopi did not punch a time clock. I work as much as I need to survive. But I definitely got a compulsive personality. Back in 1963 after JFK was murdered I could not get to sleep at night with out the image of a shotgun pointed at my head. I never imagined the pulling the trigger; I just liked to imagine myself lying there with a gun to the head. Then I could drift off to sleep. It was as if all my grief over Crazy Mike's death came pouring out when Kennedy was murdered. I kept telling homeboy I wanted to see a shrink, but he did not believe in them back then. Today he is a psychiatrist, go figure. But what really saved me was a guy from Lucknow India. More about that in one of these jams here.

So anyway I got called up for the draft in early 64 it was still peace time for all I knew. I told the selective service board about the shrink and they certified me four f. Compulsive personality. Then when the Gulf Of Tonkin, the Maddox and the Turner Joy in August I tried to enlist, due my patriotic chore cause I was still into john Wayne movies back then. They would not take me. That 4f came back to bite me when I wanted to join a gliding club in Michigan. I had to get a pilots license before they would let me take a glider up. Did ok until it was time to solo and then failed the physical because of the four f. But I definitely still a compulsive typist.

One thing mark, where does she write all the time. It sure isn’t here.

I am retired now mark, over a million miles and three hundred days a year on the road 100 hour work weeks, these are my golden
years.

She makes the pixels dance,
