But I grow old and I forget your name.
(I think I made you up inside my head.)

He tries to pick her up but
But she was the seducer
He was a figment of her imagination
An appendage to a cock and balls

She told him
But he smiled and thought how quaint
another virgin.
Blood so much blood

“The Blood Jet Is Poetry and There Is No Stopping It”S.P.
baltimore after the war
the corner of Central Ave and Pratt st
there was a mountain of scrap metal
located next to an elementary school
separating the school yard from the junk yard was a chain link fence
sometimes a jagged shard of steel would slide of the mountain of scrap metal and skitter under the fence
I remember one piece looked just like a sword when I picked it up
and then my memory gets childhood fuzzy, I remember being in the principals office with a boy whose arm was bleeding badly and everyone seemed to be looking at me.

Sixty-seven year old blood memory,
I had two older brothers
sometimes I think they used me as their attack dog

yes I have left a trail of blood
from baltimore to astoria
and I am still stupid about blood

I suppose that is why it has always been my blood since that day in baltimore in 1946

some abhor it
some love it
some drink it ugh
some say it is sacred
some say it is a sin
some say it is poetry

I am stupid about bloodlines
I ain't no fortunate son
Am I?
Hitherto, in fact, man has shown a considerable qui vive to the dangers which arise from momism and freely perceived that his "old wives" were often vixens, dragons, and Xanthippes. Classical literature makes a constant point of it. Shakespeare dwelt on it. Man has also kept before his mind an awareness that, even in the most lambent mother love, there is always a chance some extraneous current will blow up a change, and the thing will become a consuming furnace. The spectacle of the female devouring her young in the firm belief that it is for their own good is too old in man's legends to be overlooked by any but the most flimsily constructed society.

but all is not always the case

I am a fortunate son, as many times as I broke my mother's heart she only broke mine once
and I had it coming for being a mama's boy, crazy mike warned her not to coddle me, said she would regret it one day. That day came on November 22, 1963, when I almost committed suicide by matricide, Oedipus wretch had nothing on me.

"The mother is the first awesome miracle that haunts the child his whole life, whether he lives within her powerful aura or rebels against it."
The Denial of Death. Ernest Becker
Sons are easy, daughters are so much more problematic to the mother
I used to think a lot about Sylvia Plath and her mother

I like this poem a lot

I am stupid about quotes. I cannot figure out who you're quoting.

Sorry, Doreen, I am stupid about writing:

The quote without attribution is from a book that was on the bestseller lists back in the fifties. It was called "A Generation of Vipers"

I put this line in and thought it might explain where the quote was from:

OK, cool. Maybe it would be a good idea to cite what you're quoting from every time you quote from something. That way, everybody knows where it comes from and nobody can complain to Studio8 that we allowed people to quote copyrighted material without attribution.

Nothing to be sorry about .... I would just like to see it posted where the quotes are coming from. Otherwise, it doesn't make any sense to me... *shrug* ... plus there's the copyright thing.

THANK YOU!

Yes ma'am :)
I won't call you ma'am
because you might think I was being sarcastic.

I will try and do better, I am giving attribution in my interior dialogue that I try to transpose into these text boxes. My method has been too idiosyncratic. Obscure to anyone but me. I feel very fortunate to be read by you. Thank you for the modulation.I been trying to use {code} to give source material. e.g. for the source of the word ma'am.

Thank You

Gotdamd these bitter herbs, I am always one thought/word ahead of this cursor.

I guess I could pretend that this is all being written in real-time, this is all just electrons, croutons and pixels at this point.

so I was thinking this is the same as spontaneous prose up to a point, a moment in time.
