i wanna be a priestess
i don't wanta stand in line
i wanna be a priestess
who always speaks her mind
i wanna be a priestess

me, a priestess, stand lying down
a line that knows no linearity
speaking rhymes in languages unspoken
and laugh as mountains bow
rivers flow and ancient gods grunt in time

all priestesses need line up no longer
only rhyme in infinite pentameters
and sonnet in whim and glory

all these words, solemnly intuit
from you to me,
we, the priestesses in circuits of no bounds

no linearity
no reason
only rhyme

companions
of each other
and the wolves

we join
raise our hands
whirl and twirl
in alchemical ectasy
blending reds, oranges, greens and blues
the palates of priestesses

wise women and
melchior is one name

feeling somewhat like
a priest,
on the edge of the
milky way,
facing forward,
trying to find
a way.............

let the inner pri guide
(Pri in hebrew means 'fruit')

we Fruits and Fruitesses
look good
taste good
filled with seeds
we reproduce good

we may cause a rare allergy
but we shine and ripen and even in death
we offer a new generation of food

souls wide awake we
close our eyes
hum underneath the wolf's fur
sheltered in deep
hunger of green

we drink the resin
of time - we
forget our name
and the loss of the
most silent moments
of the flood

we seal up the mouth
of our cave
we fly free

we disappear
we expand
we raise our hands and hearts
we drink our light

we sing
we, wild
we are safe

I wanted to be a priestess but settled for
a cheap burlesque novelty act.
I do it in church and the congregation
throws nickels and dimes into
the collection plate. It's enough
to feed me most days.

It ain't all that great
a career but I'm blessed.
It has less responsibility
than a priestess.

Plus, the bennies are pretty darn good.
I get to sleep with God on Friday nights
and Saturday afternoons, the angels
give me a bubble bath. Sundays are reserved
for making love to the saints.

The rest of the week is routine stuff.
Work work work. Never enough
money or fame but hell, I can't
blame anyone but me. I took the gig.
Not a small one, by any means.
But definitely not that big.

I say A men like I say ten four, I agree, I wish her well, she must be able to split her fingers like Mr Spock's Vulcan peace sign.

I never call out to a goddess, except for Mary. Now and then, when I take her son's name in vain.

Priests and priestessess are born it seems
A random roll of the karmic/genetic dice
I am not priest that is for sure,
even though I live like one
No tribe of Levi
Just common labor for my tribe.

But if ever I did call out it would be to Aphrodite

Amen: The word is related to "Emunah" in Hebrew,
which means faith and/or belief.

I believe that to my core
Judih is a priestess to me
no matter what tribe she is from
a priestess of beauty and poetry

and common sense.

all of this may sound strange to you.
but missing her the way i do,
i'm prepared to believe anything
and go any which way,
to any heights,
face any danger
just to have her close again.

woman of wisdom.
turquoise goddess.
she taught me to see magic
and believe in the mystical,
to recognize
and honour
the spirit
of priest and priestess
everywhere
and
all-ways...

take her in your arms?

how would you like to love a priestess?

hear her
whispers,

touch her
skin,

unlock her
passion and
vibration,

sacred energy
on the earth plane
