tuvan throat ecstacy
gimba...gimbo...yi!
riding my pony over yonder
purple mountains majesties
lookin' for a jam
a bit of dry land
oozing with stick
the lickity split
place where ya
don't even need
a spliff, even if
yer spliced or
just left your wife
or maybe had yer heart
cut out with a carvin knife
enuff of sad stories
let's jam on the glories
the hummingbird
faster than a blurr
the belly of the butterfly
allowing us to love
the turtle dove on a wire
every mornin coo-cooing in the day
the month of may
the time to play
over the hills and far away............

can i get euphoric
and not be stoned
can i get silly
and not be drunk
can i get down
and not be out
can i hmmmm
and not shout
amber waves of grain
waving in the breeze
is all i need
a splice and twist
unravelled and sweet
no need to be tidy or neat
just my room
gonna clean it today
then hit the road inside my head
and pray for grace

for once in my life
all i gotta do is act
naturally............

doggedly amid
