Hey if you find a space like that let me know where
I can get one -
I have a small room upstairs here at the lodge which is my paint room - so
I don't really have to put my toys away but the room is small -
i figure this place was built sometime around the Civil Damn War so the rooms are small -
I need a bigger space one of these days -
i want to work on a larger scale some day - drums & the heart -
i hear that - we are like in some ways it seems -
I stopped smoking three and a half years ago, the day
I discovered electronic vaping devices - been a love affair ever since - before that time
I had smoked for 45 yrs and could knock down a couple packs a day most times & sometimes more - but the first time
I tried an electronic device
I, in wonder, realized that
I could be free from tobacco in any form and that's the way it has turned out to be.
I'm vaping my ass off and just loving it! Got grey skies here too - thunder boomers tonight
I bet - don't worry about the quiet brush - if it's in you it will stir again - that's how it is for me anyways - some days
I can't stop painting and can't work fast enough to capture it all or get it all out - other days
I wonder where all my ambition & drive went -
I like to be working on them or at least have one under construction -
I like it so much because, for me, it's a calling on the spirits - of time, of place, of memory, or that which is yet to be - even if you have no idea or notion of what or how to begin a single stroke of a loaded brush on a bare canvas opens a door to worlds - worlds. A single brushstroke and next thing ya know you are in good and often wild & rambunctious company.
I'm not an artist but a painter and that's all
I ever want or ask from brush & canvas - to be a painter.
So don't be blue - the spirit of that in you is not sleeping but gathering and when it gets to critical mass it will bust loose and take you along. You can make book on it.

Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.
