leftovers

I'm eating leftover ham today
it's better than it was yesterday
and the company is better
I'm by myself

today finally
at work without work to do
we tried ringtones, laughed a lot, drank mate & insulted our boss
among other things
(it´s all an art to keep being there!)

mmm... let´s try a rhyme:
doreen is a jewell
also jimbo as a nurse
I´m eating salad today
not because I´m skinny
just because I want to desintoxicate!

(two of my dearest life´s gifts doing funny faces -well, you´ll also have to do funny faces to see them, photobucket too slow to edit!-)

For Ryokan the fool.
Settle in.
Merry Christmas.
Merry of the merry,
how I remembered it.
I am a fool, the amnesia.
I never could remember it all.

Those eyes..

The snow storm gave me a chance to walk.
I hated it at first but now I'm not so sure.
It messed up Christmas and everything.
Slipped around, slushy ice everywhere.
Glad to make it through.

Beautiful, those eyes..

and judih, it seems for years we can't talk to each other.
and wireman too, it seemed we had a chance.

what about that separation?
you know it can't be real.

hey who said 'can't'?
talk is not always visible
sometimes, talk goes on in the heart
i hear you, mnaz
i think you might hear me
sometimes talk is larger than words

I hear you too judih.
As to the qassams, I have no answer.
How can one answer to that?
It just continues to frustate.
From obsessions of power
to obsessions of peace,
every day is for sale.

Mark, great to see you here,
no kidding.

I write increasingly imflammatory poetry,
increasingly having little to do with owning a TV.
Someone broke into my house about 10 months ago
and literally ripped it out of the wall, cable box 'n all.
I thought they might also steal my CD's, but no,
so kinda relieved, I kinda just went with it.
No more TV. It was a sign.

life is more than obsession
life is everything, all, and everywhere
i do what i can
i breathe when i can
i smell the orange blossoms
and i cry when i must
pulsing entities, we live where we live
sharing our impressions
trying to see what's revealed

Life is a cookie
It must be true
I read it in Scientific American

Have another cookie
There are plenty more where that one came from

Whoops
Correction

The universe is an oven
and life maybe a loaf of banana nut bread with raisins
I will have to check the recipe
In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on. Robert Frost

we are the most blessed of all creatures
because we need a reason to live
I pity the poor dumb animals
