yes!! and whow... we met under a buenos aires sky, and the wind was warm and the trees were blossoming and arcadia was kind and sweet and energetic and full of laughter!

and it was so good to meet her, and we had ice-cream and sunshine and coffee and walks and rice and laughter and orange juice and hummus and fun and a wonderful time!

and as she said, you all were also there with us, somehow...

we used english seasoned with spanish and spiced with german
and the language of gestures and mimic and laughter
and of the heart.

it worked wonderfully!!

I wish I could have been there too
I'm jealous of this cardboard carlos guy
where is his trenchcoat?

veronica, your smile is an object of joy

incredible. simply incredible. i see such joy and laughter in these two pictures that reveal you both in ways that could be no other way.

veronica, amiga mia... your happiness is so infectious, your beauty so honest.

anemone, have i ever seen you without that beautiful smile and that hair so wonderful that i can only fantasize how it would feel to my touch...

i hope you both have some more pictures to share this once in a lifetime meeting. i'm overjoyed in a contented sort of way, satisfied as you both must be with your time spent together. lucky, lucky, lucky. :)

doreen - you sure felt the tickling and hugging, because it was just there! we thought of you so many times...

clay, trenchcoats are for those who gotta hide things underneath. carlos doesn't do that - he passes his smile and ice cream around generously and freely!
(and i look like just having emerged from the sea? cool. and i mean it! ;-))

judih, yes, hummus! and pita and taboule, all on véronica's plate, and it was so much more delicious than my rice and steak (which was really good, too), that i had to reach over to her plate several times to have my treat....
and you were in our thoughts so much as well.

cecil! yes, lucky lucky lucky indeed, and we had just wished you all could be there with us, also - but as it has been said already, in a way, you all were. it was such a gift to me that véronica made this long bus trip just to come and meet me! and it was worth every second.

Image

this is probably my favourite picture of the two of us - and it is a studio eight pic in so many ways!
our heads together form the figure eight (infinity sideways), just as véronica's sunglasses and the small glasses on the table do... the coffee glasses are like two slightly separated halves of an eight, and the table number (44) is just the half of a double eight....
how could it have been more perfect!

cecil: I touched anemone´s hair!! (it was the first thing I guess I did in the hotel lobby´s, after waving, laughing and hugging!!!!!!! ), it´s so beautiful!! and I was constantly touched by her warm deep eyes!!!! (the most smiling and sweet blue ones I ever saw!!!)

doreen: we thought a lot in you in so many gratitude waves!!!! :D and we also did digital-shopping in your honor!!! (at one moment looking to some leather things we saw one perfect for you and shouted almost at unison ..... it´s for doreeeeeeen!!!!!!). There´s a photo tooked by panta!!!

l-rod: yeah! the photos with the guy with the plenty of time mood, the distant look and the generous smile are great!!!!!!!! :) I almost felt strangled at first trying to talk in english , but we could communicate with the so clear panta´s one, the primitive mine, lot of gestures, writing and wonderful presence!!!!!!. And wow!!, I learnt how to pronounce anemone´s name and town in german. I loved it!!!!!!!

judih... mmm... hummus, tabule & pita, yeah! it was written in a blackboard at the street´s restaurant and I simply couldn´t resist it!!!!! We also walked back and forth Armenia street so many times in some kind of rayuela´s way (sure Cortázar was winking at us!) , observed and talked about trees, listened to summer chicharras & clinging sailboats, wondered about hanging shoes above our heads, searched coins, run avenues, and also felt you!! :)

dave: lot of doves in puerto madero and palermo viejo, sure you also were there!!!!!

panta!: I also love our first photo togheter!! also the sepia atmosphere you added!!!!! your presence was so powerful, warm and healing, dear friend!!!! I´m very grateful to life that you were so near my city!. Also to your friend Christine (tell her that she´s a great photographer and that I still laugh each time I remember her saying about Carlos Carreras literally and also about other things somehow "hey, don´t matter if you like it or not, you have to know about it, you live here!!" ).

I didn´t took many photos, but there are some of panta eating alfajor santafesino, writing and smoking that I´ll share with you later here!!!!
