icy windows

Post by Glorious Amok » January 19th, 2005, 6:47 pm

i saw your post bennie, great pics... and i wrote down the band but haven't looked them up yet. but here's some pics right back atcha...

we've been snowed in here, and my windows froze over the other night in the most beautiful, spontaneous pattern. it looked like feathers had been pressed into the glass... feathers and dragonfly wings and tears...

these are beautiful pictures, Gloria Amos.

the first one is my fave rave. You should do something with it.

Image

to me it looks like a frosted tree loitering in the foreground as an icy hill climbs up towards the right. Photoshop a wee cottage half way up that hill and add some stars in the twilight sky. See the light bit splitting the black and blue? That's the sun going down. Some stars in the dying blue sky would be nice.

We had a pretty heavy snow storm at the start of the week. This photo was taken on monday night. You look at night time photos I take and it's easy to see why amber is my favourite colour. I'm fucking bathed in it nightly.

Image

incidently, see the two neon lights (one, a purple "h" and one, green and purple diagonals? The bright white light in between those is a K F C. The white light to the right of the diagonal neon lights is a McDs.
well I write music review so I do:

doreen, i would be honoured if you used my pictures for anything at all.

the night i took these it was about -27 cecil.

dave...a llama??? it's the blues bar across the street. on wednesday night karaoke sometime i think i hear llammas in there, tho.

bennie, you take them to a higher level, the beauty becomes yours more than theirs. they're actually posted in reverse.. i started with night shots and the brighter ones are taken early the next morning as the sun was rising..

that's fucking great. I saw it as some wintery scene. I'd never have imagined it as the deep sea with, um, trees?, deep sea trees and fish.

It works very well. If it had a higher res I'd steal it and use it as my desktop wallpaper.
