I may be off my hinges here but I got a blue tube stuck in my nest & it's blinking on/off on/off on/off ever since events coming to pass last evening. No peace with this kind of thing going on. You can't buy it off for love or money. I tried sticking it in the trash but the garbage men won't touch it. They tell me no-no, bad ju-ju even to let its shadow fall on you. One of those things that can't be gotten rid of only endured. So I'm enduring. All my songs are flat. The blue tube mocks me from where it's stuck in my nest. Blink blink. On/off on/off on/off. If I could only stretch myself thin enough to get into tomorrow from here and leave today to go on without me. Now wouldn't that be a neat trick ? A goal of not gaining but of being rid of. It's strange what matters from moment to moment.

Missed connections ... sometimes I think the whole universe is a patch of missed, or better yet, lost connections. The botched & the bungled. The battered & the rammed.

The moon was rising as I left work tonight. It rose red ...

Red moon - night road ... Croatoan ...

I edited my post, I had a long digression about a poem called Eating Ghosts. by Head Burner The poem was on a website called litkicks.

.

I wish I had saved a copy of his poem but all I got is this snip that I posted to studio eight

Remember Headburner from litkicks. Eating Ghosts?

Quote:
There are magicians in water and stones,
Who can make a man ill
By stabbing his silhouette with with a word.
Trample upon, struck, stabb

Jack - I was just gonna say I watched most of that video that you had posted before I had to get on to work. That was wild. Imagine the Nazis, masters of most of the geography from Moscow to the coasts of France, being frightened by a small piece of dada material. Now that's a good feeling!

Nancy buys all sorts of scented soaps for the shower. I don't mind, soap is soap & I never know what I'm gonna find when I step under the water. Today it was cucumbers & melons. That was a new one. The solution didn't have anything to do, I'm sure, with the likenesses of cucumbers & melons all over the outside of the bottle & I couldn't tell from the scent what was cucumber and what was melon. So now I'm sitting here smelling like someone's idea of the mixture of these two artifices. Of the two it's the melons that got me thinkin'. Melons were one of the main foodstuffs that the Aztecs used to keep the ol' ripping-the-heart-from-the-chest-of-their-victims-to-appease-their-gods thing going. Melons & beans & squash & gourds & chili peppers etc. Plus chickens. So now I smell like a melon. Part of history I am. And wearing the scent to prove it.

At this moment my mind looks like Pueblo Bonito. Prehistorical in the morning sun.

Along with Libraries & the Internet & Advertising farming gave us War.

Whhhoooooeeee Coffee !! >!!
I loves my nicotine too ! - - hey has anybody tried or know anybody who has tried the electronic cigarettes ? I've been reading about them. No tobacco so where's the harm? Just nicotine, which is all I want in the first place. Nicotine is not a cancer causing agent but everything else in tobacco is. Eliminate all that & leave just the nicotine, does that make it a win-win? That's what I'm hoping. At this late date I realize that I'm not going to quit but at the same time I do not want a miserable death from it all. All the fun-none of the consequences - that's me in spades. Sounds too good to be true. Anyways ....

I'll go out on a branch here Jack, far enough to say I know what you are talkin' of about women's faces. I love watching their faces too. Face it Jack. We are face voyeurs. They can have our eyes when they can pry them from our cold dead skulls.

judih - i mix three drops of palmolive with my window cleaner down to work. Does a bang up job on glass and just about everything else. Put three drops of the green stuff in a vinegar base and use distilled water for filler & you can unrust the planet.

Anyone remember the verse from "Not To Touch The Earth" by the Doors that goes:

House upon the hill
moon is lying still
shadows of the trees
witnessing the wild breeze
c'mon Baby, run with me

?

Well, these days my teeth are yellow & my breath ain't as deep. Time was ain't now. Truth be told I'd have to walk now rather than run. Still, I can yet recite that song from heart. Things used to be able to make an impression on me. Now they try to get through my scaly hide & failing to find any entrance, they move on. Maybe it's because I have learned the diff between the sideshow & the main event. Or maybe I'm just better at self-flattery. A friend of mine from my rum running days said to me a while ago, "Age has it's compensations." I was able to agree with him only because we both still have our health, more or less.

House upon the hill
moon is lying still ... - was it Mystery living in that house? Romance? Death? A Woman?

shadows of the trees
witnessing the wild breeze ... no wind tonight out there, wild or otherwise. Just crickets.

c'mon Baby, run with me ...

... when they stuff me away in the VA home one of the first things I'm gonna do & do it so all my nurses & assorted "caregivers" have to see it is get hold of a magic marker & write across my balls "Jessica Rabbit Was Here".

"All the Federales say they could have had him any day
they only let him slip away out of kindness I suppose"
(Ballad of Pancho & Lefty)

Anyways ...
