Probably good that I didn’t listen to all of the video, since he doesn’t seem to get anything right.

Gracias for your gracia, Arcadia.
In my Massachusetts elementary school, when we weren't learning how to burn brujas, we were taught the 'Mexican Hat Dance' in lieu of the Mexican language. You'll be pleased to know that I was more than "satisfactory" in dancing the dance.
But, who needs Spanish, anyway
Whenever I visited Old Mexico, all that was required to break any language barrier was simply to beautifully dance that classic dance, while holding a (thornless) rose in my mouth. The good folk of Mexico even gave me a special name of endearment, which I've yet to get around to translating literally. I just assumed it meant "terrific dancing dude!" Perhaps, you can help me with that? It sounded like, "muy loco gringo!"

You ever listen to Firesign Theater in your younger days?
All is for the best

ST: You ever listen to Firesign Theater in your younger days?
NS: Sure. I was a big fan, and what stoner wasn't? I liked the way they would walk over to the flip side of the record. I believe one of their albums was called: "Don't Crush that Dwarf; Pass Me the Plyers." I think their first was: "Everything You Know is Wrong," (a title to live by, no?)

NS: Would I be correct in assuming 'irony'?

NS: That's the spirit!
Mayhaps, that is why you are so persistently 'still trucking'?

NS: Best done before the sap flows, but after caterpillar season, and never right after the dog has lifted his leg on it.

I'm not inclined to NS's suggestion of a worldwide corporation w/o government, I think i'm too jaded at this point to see that idea as anything but a starry idealistic lovely notion.
On the other hand, I do see everyday alot of government wastage and tomfoolery. The shoulders government were ideally supposed to provide for all in the name of justice, have become privatized, favoritist, and possession crazed. Side bets, payoffs, or you'll get yours nonsense.
I grind out my hours, enjoy the money and time off I get for it.
I don't let myself think about how many people are making way more than I am for doing less.
It seems the best I can do is maintain minimal involvement in gov. (corp), organizations.

Hi Hester,
You are probably right about it being "idealistic," but why come up with a design that is less than an ideal one. The realities of life, and human nature, will take care of making any system far from ideal. So, no need to incorporate that part in the initial design.
I'm sure you're right about the sorry realities of our present government. Like Jefferson, I'm sure any government eventually turns sour and rotten. That is why I'm after something more direct between a society and its social needs. I'm after a democratic process that does not require a fixed governmental institution, placed between the citizenry and its requirements, to get things done.
HP: I don't let myself think about how many people are making way more than I am for doing less.
NS: As you shouldn't. Quality of life isn't about income and stuff you own. If it were, Richard Corey (Simon and Garfunkle song) wouldn't have put a bullet in his head.
To paraphase the Alman Brothers, 'have an orange.'
