Though Baudrillard states that the movie, the matrix, was a misrepresentation of his ideas, this french philosopher nonetheless was the inspiration for such concepts as hyperreality, the moebius context and simulated realities.

In his book, 'America', he discusses many of his philosophical viewpoints.

In 'simulacra and simulations' he discusses moslty what culture has evolved into, nothing more than a disneyland of possibility, or an exaggeration and hyperreality, a simulated sense of value.
