Valentine Question

Post by Doreen Peri » February 12th, 2005, 9:43 pm

The question to ask is not why
Do you keep selecting the wrong guy.

The question
instead is
this –

Is Cupid
Stupid?

:D  :D

he (it?) isn't stupid but I think he's a bit of a shill.

And no, it isn't boo hoo hoo from the lonely heart. I just get annoyed by all these little pigeon holed days to express your love.

I do like how they're all spaced out pretty evenly throughout the year though.

this one is in between Xmas and easter.

I'm not a lonely heart anyway. I think I'm asexaul anyway. I'm too cynical to fall for this or fall in love. That's pretty sad, eh?
well I write music review so I do:

I don't think Cupid's stupid.

And I bet Benny's taunts
Will come back to haunt him
One day
After he's been skewered by Ms. Cupid's eros

(They're not really taunts but it rhymes with haunt and I'm a gawd-awful poet)

yeah, you're a god awful poet
but, hey, at least you know it.

my "taunts" won't come back to haunt me because they are political taunts based on the marketing of love to sell crap cards and silly stuffed teddy bears with messages on their chests enclosed in love hearts and all the shmaltz and pink and red and people feeling guilty because they chose not to participate.

If I get skewered by Cupid's arrows the little cherubic mother fucker better skewer the girl too. Otherwise I'll sue.

He could poke someone's eye out with those arrows. Where's the pleasure in that?

Hmmm...

I'll consider the career advice.

Do you think there's a market for my own kind of greetings cards?

Get well soon...if you want, but just think, you'll have to go back to work.

Congratulations on passing your driving test. Just know that the government will fuck you up the arse, really hard, every time you even think about taking the car out the drive.

Stuff like that.

Is Cupid
Stupid
willie nelson got fifty bucks for writting Crazy for Patsie Kline
He said he wanted to use "Stupid, Stupid for still loving you"
but Crazy sounded more euphonious

the marketing of love to sell crap cards
nothing new under the sun son

but
just take me back to twelth century france, never mind the war and butchery and plagues, just let me ride that knightly path of amore it works for me.

give me a little bit of music and poetry, a wanna be troubador.

hehe.... hey bennie... those are GREAT!

send me your one-liner greeting card text and I'll illustrate 'em ok?

Let's go into business!

If nothing else, it would make for a really cool segment in the new Humor section for the main site.

hmmm.... gotta think of a name for it....
I'll be back...

interested? ;)

-----------------

Still - Really? ha!

what's euphonious mean? Gotta look that up. :)

a bad time but it was the birth of our mores our westen freedom, women still chattlel but they those troubadors songs brought to the advance the the first inklings of the right of women to control their destiny, at least in their choice of a love object

just a fool for a good love poem
I still  jamelah for writting that one about the the old man on the park bench with the leaf
I wish I could remember it verbatim, I listened to a song on an audio book it was

The Power Of Myth, Love and The Goddess

they sang a song from the twelth century in french and english, it was better in french but the english wasn't bad

all I can remember something about
when the eye goes reconoitering for what is pleasing to the heart, and when the heart and eye and truth? are in accord then is born true love, and as all lovers know true love is perfect kindness,

something like that.

doreen I have a cd of willie and johnny they chit chat between songs.

Johnny went on to remember a fine spring day in the country, everything was fine, the flowers and the trees and June Carter too, as they were driving home, with her driving he wrote
Flesh and Blood Needs Flesh and Blood, Mother Nature's Quiet a Lady, but Your the one I need.

Benny I think you'll be a millionaire.

Ah, Doreen.....slicing me out of the action eh. As the brains behind this career change I believe I should be the first to wet my beak in any business dealings. You are one cutthroat lady, one opportunistic dame......sheesh!!!!!!! :D
