tribal circle

Post by creativesoul » January 22nd, 2011, 7:06 pm

after all the grandmothers and grandfathers have gifted me, the one thing i do not do is drink- i have had to be on some serious drugs, but no more honey-that thing is too long ago-and not worth mentioning anymore-that thing came from generations of abuse, wars, fatherless children, and prolific sperm donors.the actual decision to have children requires a certain amount of sobriety-our next generation are my sons-the very generation that returned that love and brought me back to life. The very generation that is religious about recycling, wind power, and the best example of honorable men that I know-they are able to think forward-my generation thinks backward.i am the first to admit that- but sometimes our medicines heal each other-i cannot let the politics of love affairs around the arbor destroy my prayers. The future generations that walk the red road need to stop shopping for love at ceremony- we would not be there if we were well-so do not drink- seek the council of the four directions, sit quietly somewhere, and decide what benefits we can be to others.maybe just a healing song
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

there is profound understanding in the wisdom of the elders, that in many cases in this country is not sought after.....the ads are mostly about the young and virile......about being the fastest, the prettiest, about edging out the competition.....the ancient lore of the tribe is powerful shit.....

one need not use alcohol to alter their consciousness.....there are dozens of other ways, if that is one's goal......the hardest part of life is facing things soberly......I mean that metaphorically mainly......being okay with yourself and not caving into to all the pressures that try to sway you to be different
than the person you know is you........

sorry for the long-winded response, my mind ran away.......good poem

this morning after breaking someones tie lines
my house is in order
the spaghetti of too much need has left me
i feel full and whole
putting in perspective where i have been
where i am going
i did these good things with intention
love and healing for all people
i will never stop
