A thunderstorm passes.
Stay in the car. Keep the
rubber on the road. Slow
down a little around the
curves the way your hands
slow down upon hers and
soon the wetness will come,
and when the clouds pass,
a blast of wind will push
the overcast sky and you
will see them open
curtain-wide, a sunshine
smile peaking through
to warm you.

Drive carefully. I warn you.
Spring storms are much like
love, they come from heaven
above so quickly that you may
not be prepared! Be wary but
be sure. Spring not only will
endure but will become
the summer heat and soon
another cycle will complete
the rotation of the earth.

Make it your vocation to
enjoy vacationing but make
sure you wear your raincoat
if you want to go parking
when the window's are down.

wet earth smell
I let the raindops come in
& enjoy the sky wonder
for a while
then, turn on the lights
& keep going
in the winding inside

back in the day
we'd be driving around
those old roads
never looking
just speeding drunk
one thing i can say
i never tossed out an empty beer bottle
oh no
wonder where the spirits are
from long ago
gloomy weather
makes you want some comfort
and you take in a deep breath
and let it go

round here pills are popping
birds are winging
calendars are turning
horsey singing dont fence me in
and Isabella Rose goes for her first swim

Camus moons the moon
Rimbaud commits spiritual suicide
and I blame it on spring

baby girl looks more like you than her daddy
lonely bird in a wonder of aerie delight
horse definately in texas pasture happy
pills only twice mine but well organically sized
calendar easy time goes by
what mojo
respect
south of gloomy weather
below the tornado belt
above the knees
distant trees
sappy
