Please Read - Cleaning House, Taking out the Garbage
my post may have not fit perfectly........
but i am quite upset that you would delete a post that has opinions that might not agree or fit with popular points of view........i said nothing (to my recolection) that was offensive without giving my own stamp to its birth, what is up with my deletion.......heard yall cry many times over about freedom of speech...........what the hell is up........

in a gadda da vidaHey Truckin' -
Can you tell me what you're referring to? We're not deleting any posts here. LR hasn't deleted any of his and none of yours were deleted by either of us.
We had a little server problem yesterday with the site running really slow for some reason... some people were getting double posts .. some had a hard time logging on... but I contacted the host and it seems to be resolved now.
What posts have disappeared? Where? Could this be a technical glitch of some kind? I'm baffled. I'm such a non-techie.

No no, Doreen, I was saying by "pixie pranks" that mischief from the basic computer technology makes this happen, in jest, NOT referring tp copmputer hackers, or anything like that.
Like the cosmic jester in cyberspace, that's all, I call them pixie pranksters, little fairy blessings.
Oh dear.

Ok, Jim.
I must admit I still don't understand the claims that posts have been deleted. The pixie reference must be a metaphor for cyberspace, I guess.
I donno.
As far as blue appearing in Anenome's drawing which wasn't supposed to be there, I didn't put the blue there, either. That's what the file looked like when I received it and put it up on her page.
Publishing on the net is tricky business. What I see on my screen may be totally different than what you see on yours. There are a number of browsers, everyone's monitor has different settings, some are darker, some lighter, the resolution is different for each, color settings are totally different.... then when you send images electronically, it's possible they could change some during the transfer. It's all a matter of doing the best we can with it and hoping what the viewer is seeing is somewhat close to what we intended.
If Anenome wants to resend me the image without the blue in it, I'd be happy to replace it on her page.

jim's right, there's no blue in the original drawing of the woman (just the white colour of the sheet underneath the umbra) - and he's also right that a little blue might look just good together with the earthy colours, even though on my screen, it doesn't even look blue....
the colours always look different from the'original once a painting / drawing appears on the puter, but i don't think there's much use in trying to correct that, as , as doreen says, they look different on every browser and monitor anyway.
so, no need to change anything about this (or any other of my) picture(s), doreen - and jimbo, thanks for letting me meet my special woman in unexpected places!

who is she?
all of the above, jim.
she's in my head and in my soul.
i long to know her, and in a still veiled way, i already do.
i look for her in pictures, and sometimes think to find a glimpse of her in a look, a smile, a nod of the head.
i wanna leave her a mystery because that's what she is, and i wanna see her clearly because to find her is part of my way.
the inner woman.... one day, on an open field, i'll meet her.
until then, i feel her from within. she's with me.

7 fear and loathing on the bombing trail (post traumatic reflection)(1995)
I like your concept of inner being as wise older persona-oh.
hope you'll meet her one day in a field of grasses, wildflowers, and berries!
the old scarred man is my green man idea....mentor.....
i wanna start drawing again soon.
I like your cloud vision, too. Beautious brooding.
