Writing poetry to get girls,

Post by emel.scott » June 4th, 2011, 8:57 am

can it be justified?
Penning flowery words of love
or rebellious diatribes against
'The Man' as ploys to garner
female fans is...well,
hard to square and anyway
who would dare to drag down
this valued, hallowed medium.
Downright blasphemy, has to be,
Poetry deserves a higher purpose.

So, if anything I write makes you nervous
or worse, stirs your libido.
Know it’s not my credo or intent.
I’m bent on targeting a higher chakra,
marketing more towards the top of your
head. Led by my deep desire
not to be shallow or wow you
or be mired in the muck, using
my salacious touch as a crutch to tease.
And please, lest you think this a ruse,
do not bet I protest it too much.
We should not mind if on our ear there fell. Some less of cunning, more of oracle...Thoreau

i know what you mean. women write me poems all the time in an effort to seduce me. some are actually pretty good. i usually just proofread them and make corrections in red ink.

I'm pretty sure some ink could still score you some pink! Regardless of your intention.

I don't like smart women, they are hip to my tricks.
and what woman is not smarter than me.

I love smart, powerful women...it makes the ones who are inclined to submit a much more gratifying experience.

me too
I was just goofin I should have used an emoticon
sorry

I was thinking of a Joni Mitchell song
And you don't like strong women 'Cause they're hip to your tricks
by all means
write poetry for her
wear the gold hat for her
bounce for her
Then wear the gold hat, if that will move her:

If you can bounce high, bounce for her too,

Till she cry “Lover, gold-hatted, high-bouncing lover,

I must have you!”
Great Gatsby

great poem emel
thanks for writing
I only trash the poems I love

I heard a old coot in a 1940's western I was watching last week say, "The only thing wrong an honest man can do is make an honest mistake."
