Mornin' Annie B. Was not able to work on your painting this weekend but I'm expecting to have it done this week. The dream you spoke about sparked a bell having to do with a poem I read once by a Japanese woman name of Ono No Komachi who lived and was part of the Imperial Japanese Court during it's so-called Golden Age. She was famous for her beauty and more for her poetry. I went looking for it & found it.

My longing for you -
too strong to keep within bounds.
At least no one can blame me
when I go to you at night
along the road of dreams ( Ono No Komachi )

and another ...

If this were a dream
I would surely
see you again -
why must waking love
be left incomplete ? ( Ono No Komachi )

I always liked her poetry. There is another too, her name Izumi Shikibu. There are others also from this time in Japan. When I first ran across these poems I was startled by their emotional directness & expressiveness. It has not lessened over the years since.

I just heard thunder. That kind of thunder that walks across the sky. I like that kind. Catch you later, Doll.

Reminds me of that 100 beautiful Japanese poems book.
I really felt a lot of the heart in those pieces. Very emotional in just a few lines.
Gots to head out the door, this is a nice thought to go out with for the day. Will keep me high. :P

I miss you too, every day I do.
Guess what today brings...

Today starts the 100 days of love!
For 100 days it's time to open our hearts, to voice our times, but in a good way.

It is to love the one you're with, to express the genuine good for everything, good for all, good thing we gots the chance to speak it and reach out. Reach out to those who've enriched our lives, our hearts, our minds. Those who've taught, who've sung and remind.

If yas get a good waitress in the next 100 days, not only tip her, but leave her a few written lines behind, let her know she's done nice. If'n ya get a great hair cut, a nice beef steak cooked just right...well tell them, tell them with all heart, love them for the moment, love them and your sisters, and your brothers, your sixth grade teachers, the man who paints the side-walks, love the musician and the bar-tenders, love our sweet-hearted children with disabilities, with autism, with down-syndrome, love the bawling babies in wal mart, love the little wrinkled old ladies who still knows people need love and love them back, love them in return, love just anybodies.

It is that time for 100 days and every day to tell and show just someone how much love, we're brave enough and it won't take much, just to express these hearts of ours.

I love yas. I do.
And for 100 days I'm gonna try to love someone's, and love myself, too.

Love Languages
Quality time being my top of the options they'd provided, but there's one I'd like to add to the list of languages

that'd be Acts of Kindness. I'm a sucker for acts of service if it's given away not always to me, but in kindness to those in need, small children, elderly, over-worked employees, shrugged housewives, etc. If he gives kindness randomly without an ulterior motive other than his soul to blossom, I'm dealing then with matters of the heart.

sunlight finds its way
through uncountable leaves
penetrates them all the way
to the forest floor
touches the earth there

Zowie ! it finally got hot up here. Whew !

I'm eating a chicken club sandwich from Himmie Toes. It's good. I don't want to go to work today. Too hot.

Talked to a guy today, J____ down to Himmie Toes who has the beginning touches of dementia. He walked out then came back, couldn't find his keys. He went over to his table but the keys weren't there. He said, "They were on the table". I said, hey we were out at the picnic table too. Him, me and Diamond T had been out there earlier talkin' 'bout women. So we went out there and sure his keys were there. He just looked at them and began to walk back to his car. I said, Hey J____ ! Your gonna need these keys for where you're intending to be going!
He said, O yeah, I guess I do.

Dementia. As he drove off I was hoping he gets plenty more good years before that shit closes in on him.

That chicken club feels like a balloon in my belly now. I could be a fat bullfrog sittin on my lilypad in the shade the way I'm feelin' so just amphibious.
Whew! It's hot. Don't want to move. Just want to be comfortably naked and in my house doin' nothin' 'til the sun go down. That would make a good blues song...
"O baby, me and my
lazy ass ain't gonna do nuthin'
'til the ol' sun go down
way down"

What ya think ? Good one, huh? 8)
Yeah, I'm a classic. &.
"I have left the building in my amphibious way
me & my kindness gonna stay in the shade
all the rest of the day
'til the ol' sun go down
way down
o way down
8)

Painting is being in direct contact with imagination. In touch with something you cannot see. Painting is a spiritual act whose roots are in God. It lifts the heart to the savor of life. Yet, the world being what it is, there comes the moment when you must let the work go, when it is finished & there is nothing more you can do. The moment of the greatest temptation, the greatest selfishness, the greatest danger, the moment you know that even a single brushstroke more will ruin all that has come before. A few hours past dawn this morning I reached that moment.

Your painting is done.
