So he's just lost? That's a creepy feeling crawling up my spine. Nothing much scarier than just plain gone.

You know how I often almost over-do a topic and people begin to roll their eyes
that I'm discussing more of the same chicken, talk about it's eyeballs, it's meat, feathers, the way it might cluck, might bark and then I'm down to the bones, just chicken bones. And I can't stop picking at it until the next thing picks me up and tosses me clear up in the air. Just the circle.

Anyway, this has to do with Moby Dick. Out there in the center of a parade, a dance circle or get together of all those whales. Right out in the middle of em, right smack dab in the belly, the belly of the whales...add that plural, so it seems. That's when it is all eerily quiet, too strange to be in that calm when the knowledge of what surrounds is picking at the brain.

Prolly how this guy who is lost is feeling. Quiet, but he knows all that info about what's surrounding, what's out there and ready to pounce, to knife, to chew and bite. Urgh! that poor guy.

Just to be razzing.
I was thinking about the game kids play called dead sardines. Thought about it all A.M. Dead sardines goes like this, all those playing dead, might think they're dead too and then a person goes around and says, "I saw you blink!"
Yep, and we're not playing the game right if we don't tell even the Bobbie Carpers that we saw him blink, even if he gets mad, even if he's gonna kick our azzes on the playground or if Sally blinks twice and we know how Sally cries about everything and we don't want her to get all emotional, so we don't say, "Sally, you moved your pinky."

Anyway, just thoughts because once I blinked.

Once in dodgeball I got hit in the balls, I went down like a cement overcoat - damn close to a near-life experience I can tell ya. For a moment there I thought I saw Crazy Horse & Dino eatin' ham & eggs.

Today I revisited a bit of childhood.
The first time I'd moved houses, States, too. I was in my empty bedroom, there were only a few small things left over. I bunched them all up to form a box around me, there in the center of the big empty room. The room felt too over-whelming, too much to handle and there-fore I needed to create the small space that can be o.k. about the rather big looming space outside it.

That is all it's about, sure to recognize the vast wide world, but in order to be significantly large enough myself with-in, so not to be lost with-in it, then I make effort towards the space space, and it is good. Yes?

And this is just a first though that started cracking me up today, just by the thinking about it.

Trying to sit in a chair at this machine this morning drove me out of the house. My back is really bothering me lately. This morning I only sat here about a half hour before it became so uncomfortable I had to move. Went for a walk on the Deacon's property. Love the smell of the woods after all the leaves are down. There is a big ridge down back of the place and today I walked the top of it farther than i ever have. it's an ice age landform, this ridge, the glaciers made it gave it birth and left it behind 'til the next time. It's known in the ice age trade as a "drumlin". Hold on, I think I'm gonna actually make myself some tea ... ok, went with hot cocoa instead and where was I ? The ice age ? Anyways I followed this ridge for a long ways - found some old stone foundations I hadn't seen before because even though I had been that far along the ridge before I hadn't followed the spine of it like i was doing today. Came to a kill site, couldn't tell ya what it might have been - maybe a big raccoon or a coyote. I'm hoping it was a raccoon because I couldn't think of anything wild here big enough to kill a coyote on it's own. Maybe two or more good size dogs could or one big dog if the coyote was sick. The coyotes here are on average bigger than any I ever saw in the west - noticeably bigger. The coyotes here are not skinny either - it's like they are bulked up, bigger boned too. The kill site was old, lots of deteriorated fur and some scattered pieces of bone. Made me think of the missing man and i hadn't heard anything new on him since last Tuesday. I get back to the house and find a call waiting for me from my cousin. He was on one of the search teams called together for a new attempt today. They found the guy's body, no details yet.

i knew he had gotten himself into a jam - betcha he had never dreamed of dying like that on his way home from a bowling alley - bad hurt and lost in the woods. Who would?

"You don't even know what I don't know." _ Hey, I like that line alot.

Imagine me imagining you carrying around a camera every time you hit the trails, sloop through the woods and float on water. lol

Take a camera with me into the woods plenty. Warn you what I take pics of is not Nat Geo - sure, I take pics of the landscape surrounding me but I get up close to things too - moss on a stump, lichen on a stone, a beech leaf on a branch...I'm going for a walk today, I'll take a camera - so you want to see what i see? O you sweet baby ladybug you!

got into the woods & took my camera but no shots sorrysorry Doll, because one of my sons showed up just as I was getting ready to go and said he wanted to come along. So we walked up one ice age land form and down another and talked. He seemed to have a lot on his mind about women. Anyway the talk was involved enough I gave up the idea of photos. Maybe later this coming week, my back is really bothering me and I don't think it will allow me the luxury of sitting too much the next few days. So I will be getting out among the trees for sure. Walking helps.
Actually I ain't been nestled since ... well, I guess it's been awhile.
