I've slept so much sleep and a bazillion dreams. I sorta feel like I've been gone awhile, lol. I bought a new house again last night. Itwas smallish, but on the back porch was potential area for building. What I said in the dream that I liked about the small house, was that it had a lot of very peaceful land outside. It is just occurring to me that I concern myself often with what sort of environment the house I buy is going to be surrounded in. It seems important.

This one was out in the woods a bit, there were few neighbors and a lot of nature.

Both "Rocky" and "Burbank" are made in the style of the 'memory jars' popular in the 1800's. Memory jars were made by covering the vessel in mortar and attaching small objects such as keys, shells, coins and personal mementos belonging to someone who had passed away.

Thx, Doll. I'm experimenting with modern adhesives on this due to that problem of touch. These things were originally meant as prayer offerings so the traditional matrix of pine pitch and beeswax was enough. But I have discovered when I make these for people that no I mean no one can keep their hot rabid fingers off them. So this human need tends to work the beads loose sooner or later from their matrix and they pop off forever. Trouble with modern adhesives is that they are fast to dry - not really the best thing for this - on the other hand once they dry you got a solid I mean solid long lasting give-me-your-abuse hold. One of the glues that works really well 'tween bone & bead is - you guessed it - good ol' Elmer's glue...if I ever get a gecko I'm gonna name him "Elmer" ...

I was in such a memory jar mood today, I drug out all sorts of items from the hope-chest and the box of kiddos art, awards, etc.s and layered it all across my bed, sifted through and now I'm too sleepy to work on the project. I wonder if I've booted myself out of my own bed for a few nights.

My iguana has been scaring me like heck past three days.
He keeps acting extra lethargic, not eating and he feels a little cool, not too warm..but he should be warm, right? Oh man, I'm worried the heat light isn't heating enough or that I shouldn't put him next to the window in case that's chilling his tank, but I wanted him to have sun rays, too.

I keep taking him out to give him hot baths and trying to rub his skin.
I'm going crazy with worry that he's not gonna make it.

That memory jar idea got to everybody 'round here. Been talk of it at different angles on and off since you first brought it up. Take it easy 'bout your iguana. just don't buy another one for any reason or any other critter don't belong above Florida. No one should ever for any reason support the trade in this or any other animal taken out of the environment it was born into. Good luck to your lizard in any case.

PETA ? I don't remember ever sending you there. I've never sent anybody there that I know of. Those folks creep me up ya know, they do everything they can to get under the skin. Not for the animals - for the money to keep the "Cause" in cash to go "Forward". They make great show like most of going after the branch & think nobody will notice how they ignore the tree.
I tried to keep Nancy from taking on the iguana as a gift but he ended up here anyway - I'm glad he up & died on his own - he saved me from having to do it myself eventually. God bless 'em.

I have heard crows can do the pet thing rather well. I wouldn't do it myself, I'm content to feed them bread which they seem to like very much. And dry dog food.
They ain't crazy 'bout pasta, not around here anyways. And they don't like potatoes, in any form, not even french fried. Or vegetables. No no no. They leave all that kind of thing to the seagulls. But they will bully the seagulls off if there is bread on the menu. If that does not work they will gang the gulls and try to beak their eyes out. When it comes to bread crows become Mongols.

The crows out in the large apple tree, terrorize any other birds, creatures, etc. from coming up in it. They are claiming territory over that apple tree, which is understandable, because they are the biggest apples I've seen in my entire life.
That tree is something pulled straight out of a fairy-tale, it's magical, in my mind. Just seems superstitious.

And the crows are as big as raccoons.

I been getting lost on that pinterest. com site and then I had three episodes of the final Survivor shows to catch up on. I didn't realize they had did the final shows over the weekend.
