what did you give this year?
did you give the clear acceptance
of friends? did you give your true
intentions, your lack of resentments,
your moonlit mantra circling the halo
of a dream come true?

what did YOU give?
a reason for someone
else to continue to live?
perhaps a moment's remedy,
maybe a sea, wild and free,
your purpose to offer sanctity
or sanity or temporary bliss?

what did you give?

the seasons go round and round
the nights go bye in dollars and scents

winter solstice in Boston 1974
rose y cheeks and beaver coats
snow flakes and perfume
that was a very good year

Hard to remember the bad years anymore

what would I give
another to live
I would give my all to live
open my heart to where I live
Winter so mild here
I have to try to remember what it was like up north
I wish I had so good holiday cheer to send everyone
I feel happy this time of year, maybe because it is the month of my birth in the Gregorian Year of 1940

it just keeps getting better
like that last sip of Nehi Grape soda from a bottle.

everything so interesting these days in the second decade of the mamamamlennium.

Clever how the holidays worked out this year
twelve days of Christmas and eight days a week

good time to be home warm in the northern hemisphere long time since I been homeless, what have I given to "those who are on the road"?

Thank you Doreen for all that you have given me.
I used to be smart

I give I give
myself the gift
of gratitude

"Oz never did give nothing to the Tin Man that he..."

winter night cold and wet

slogging towards spring
“Where is that man who has forgotten words that I may have a word with him?”

The winter holidays,
in some way Christmas day seems softer some how, quieter,

farther apart we gather
passing through

what do we give each other
why do we come here

I come to GO.

Too Regina

The children all nestled
with jam in their heads.
The covers are rustled
and battled
with wishing of mother
to settle their bread.

Mama, I want a Christmas ham
to fall limb from, mashed potatoes,
home-made apple dumpling
and cheese trees.

Our bellies are tumbling,
tomersaulting and grumbling.
Let's pray. Dear God, please feed me
and Amen.
`Do you know, I was so angry, Kitty,' Alice went on...`when I saw all the mischief you had been doing, I was very nearly opening the window, and putting you out into the snow! And you'd have deserved it, you
little mischievous darling!

i got lost
nobody found me
i got lost
and nobody found me

then got lost again
lost again
i got lost again
can't even place my lostness

don't wanna be found
don't wanna be found
don't wanna be
just want to be saved

but i'm just lost
and unfound
i'm losted
and unfounded.
I don't think 'Therefore, I am.' Therefore, I am.

somewhere in the past
thar was a girl
somewhere in my past
thar was this girl
i knew it couldn'ta last
life is short and experience fast
somewhere n the past
thar was a girl

remember when we had a world?
'twas green n blue
'member when we had a world?
'twas green brown n blue
i walked gently with that girl
though the sunlit breezy world
at times a dancin' twirl
we had so little to do.

i've forgot what i once knew
somewhere n the past
i've forgot what i knew
somewhere in the past
coulda been love, coulda been you
musta been then musta been true
i've forgot what i once knew
somewhere in the past.
I don't think 'Therefore, I am.' Therefore, I am.
