nobel peace prize winner is an ass-kicker..
we must
kill kill defeat !
those who would harm us
invade country a, country b
no wait, be efficient!
like the reagan blockbusters
send in rambo, sly, bruce willis
yippi ki yey you fuckers, and
explosions, explosions, boombang
strange accidents for evil presidentes
covert raids, assassinations, cleanup
send the operators, send the drones
we will no - longer - stand - by!
we'll smoke 'em outta their caves
yank them outta their hide-y holes
strap 'em down at bagram, git'mo
the battlefield is global, even peoria
send in the mercs and special ops
let's privatize this thing
send in the drones

Re: nobel peace prize winner is an ass-kicker..
It used to be easy to tell the good guys from the bad ones, I think. And then I grew up. It all depends on who we unfriend, sadly.
Re: nobel peace prize winner is an ass-kicker..
yes, kailashana. (and which oil fields and geo-strategic dirt we want to control) ...
jesus would have never qualified for the peace prize. he was too peaceful . . .

yes, jack. wow, that was obama's actual note? . . .
yes, "make me an instrument of your will" . . . almighty puppet-master ...
see, that's the problem right there.
what/who would jesus bomb? (what?) . . . what/who would god smite ! ?...
monotheism is so political . . .

Re: nobel peace prize winner is an ass-kicker..
I deleted this from the poetry board, sorry
I put it back
Yes I thought about that "instrument of your will"
thought about it a lot
too much nietzsche and lsd
the will to power
not philosopher kings
but philosopher priests
the moloch of abstraction
the will to nothingness
the end times screanario
The ancient Hebrews and their historical religion
It was a bad day at black rock when the Greeks and Jews got together
yes Follow the Sacred if you have the stomach for it
One guy we want to not unfriend is God
God forbid we should not support Israel
Not if we want God to bless us
And who fucking cares anymore
we are all sick of hearing about the six million christ killers who got their karmic accounts settled by the nazis
good thing there are no more fascist threats in the world
all we got left to fear is those got dam communists and socialists.
Here is a guy who sat in a church for twenty years and heard his pastor rant about the god dam jews and never seemed to notice.
Sorry sorry sorrySometimes I want to unfriend G d. Sinner that I am.
but
Fortunately the mighty smitey God of our mothers before us is still on ourside.
We got to got kick ass because God might get pissed off at us if we don't. We don't want be sinners in the hands of an angry God. Or Jews in another holocaust.
I hope our fearless leader reads your poem
Thank you for writing it.
Sorry for the ramble
I been reading Nietzsche again.
Follow the sacred he said, if you can stomach the truth.
The Anti Christ, the Moloch of Abstraction.
Onward Christian soldiers
When he was in Jeruselam he left this note in the Wailing Wall.
I wish him well, i hope will make peace. I am just a well wisher i guess, because I wish us all well, the iranians, the israelis, even the munchkins. Obama is the wiz. I hope he can put off the war for four more years, do it for all our sakes. Or at least mine. Statistically it is almost certain that I won't be around for another four years. I won't live to see a nuclear war start in the middle east. One side underestimates the self destructive drive for martyrdom by the other. My nightmare.
I am so sorry about this ramble, I been smoking too much dope. I think I am so clever when I am stoned.

I don't know if it was his note or not. I guess it must be true cause I found it on the internet.
I thought those things were suppose to be private.
How many presidents have posed for their picture at the Wailing Wall?
Bush Jr and Sr, Clinton, Obama, it is a regular campaign stop these days.
None more monotheistic than the republican party.
All entangled in their religious right with their end time scenarios
I guess these are still the good old days, when I get despaired I remember this bit.

Obama is a better man than me, I hope he does something to justify the peace prize. What did Kissinger do for his? He made peace in vietnam I guess. Maybe Obama can do it for the middle east."Blessed is he that was not born, or that was born and has died But as for us who live, woe unto us THE BOOK OF THE APOCALYPSE OF BARUCH

Perhaps it will be the first time in history that someone gets a prize before the act.
Maybe he'll even rise to the occasion. One can only hope.

Re: nobel peace prize winner is an ass-kicker..
I am so scared for my friends in Israel, I was a child during world war two, I remember the fear I picked up from my Jewish refugee family.
That is what I am hoping too, that he will do the right thing. But is scares me when he is compared to Woodrow Wilson, a guy who did all the wrong things for so called right reasons.
When I was growing up I was so sure I knew who the good guys were. They were US, the home of the brave and the oh can you see. All the evil in the world was overseas in germany and Japan.
It was a real shocker when I read Pogo and found out the enemy as us too.
I am sorry about the photograph of him at the wall, I am going to delete it,

Re: nobel peace prize winner is an ass-kicker..
jeez, i hope you're right, kailashana. but it seems the machine has become bigger than anyone, even the prez...
not to get off too much on a tangent, but . . . politicized religion is antithetical to its transcendent roots, to sum up (and perhaps oversimplify) my basic take on it. politicized religion is top-heavy religion, existing to serve/glorify itself more than the spiritual awakening which inspired the path to begin with. or something like that . .
and the big three all head down that path too often. jerusalem now appears essentially off limits to negotiation of any sort, based on what i see from the religious hard-liners (in both israel and america). and islam of course has its own hard-liners. and the corporat(ist) behemoth hard-liners just want to lock down the oil and other goods in the vicinity . . .
WE DON'T NEED ANY OF THIS !

What is that we don't need I forgot? Did you mean we don't need war?
Ha ha.
I am just glad it is income tax season so I have something to distract me from the news from the Holy land.
Funny thing they say the Greeks had no word for religion
Where would we be if not for our religious martyrs?
I just don't trust that God on the dollar bill that much anymore... I would not turn my back on Him again.
"and Jesus Christ died for nothing I suppose"
They say G d knows what we need.
The more I think about IT the more I realize my ignorance
Well maybe we do need war, we are so wired for it, maybe we need it for the wonderful art it inspires and great medical strides in healing terrible wounds to the human machine.
Maybe we need it for the poetry
There has been some wonderful literature that has come out of warfare.
Yeah I'm tangential jack but it always comes back to fear for me.
What am I willing to do to survive, and how little power I have to change anything. Some little hidden part of me wants Obama to loose in November, so as to hasten the end. I hate that part of me. The helpless hopeless cynic.
Ha ha.

I wish I had the faith to say "never again" You know Cecil tells me that H*tler is dead. I suppose he is just trying to ease my paranoia. Because I see plenty of Hitler still kicking. I see us on the brink of fascism here in the land of the oh can you see. I see Obama as our last great white hope for a democracy of human persons, not corporate cryptofascist christian zombies.File:Memorial to Thích Quảng Đức

SOLDIER FROM KANSAS

Grant me this leave. Let me play
my part where my helmet is hung
on my piece--well out of your way. *
Have no word spoken, no song sung.
I would not hear. See? I ignore
red fury; hot, metallic rain;
my shaken bed; the battle's score.
I will neither move nor explain.
Once, on your strange world, I stood tall
for one who weeps to have me found.
Quiet her far, importunate call
with a clod of this callous ground.
Let me sleep! Her Kansan tears fall
in Oz, with an alien sound. **
Jim about 2000
*Piece is military for rifle; shallow graves have often been so marked–by a now useless helmet hung on the butt of a rifle, bayoneted into the ground.
**My personal imagining, that if the dead do see this world it would be to them strange and meaningless.jim turner

sorry mnaz I will shut up now, all this been nagging at me for months, nothing to do with you but your poem tripped my trigger I needed to write it to see it, part of the "not quite conscious stuff" & your poem an "opening" to me as the Quakers used to say.

The Goddess speaks: i wish there were a *quick reply*. But no one listens.
It's all about men with guns, knives, money, machetes, tanks, money, nuclear bombs, truth, justice, money and the American way.
Oh, yes. Channeling for profit and what humans *buy into*.
