on the headlines

and the whole island is happy=

andy irons died=so many people died-
like a town of creaking bones
from a million years ago
i had problems like no other back then
i left the big house and my kids went to live with the father
i couldnt do anymore
they were 14 and 16
mother s love
never ends
but sometimes the mother
cannot handle one more broken thing
screams
or wash one more pan
without love
she faded into the wall
so many women here just
stayed-and did the same thing for 40 years
i could barely do the same thing two days in a row
i just was on search and destroy
and it was rehab time

reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---
